LOOK AT THESE T-SHIRTS.

WHAT DO YOU NOTICE? Nobody is perfect. I am nobody. Don’t believe anything until it’s officially
denied. Elvis is dead. Einstein is dead. Mozart is dead. And I am not feeling great either. Of course I’m going to drive, I’m too drunk to
walk.

The verb is always the same: ‘to be’
![Page 4: Look at these T-shirts.](https://reader035.fdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022062305/56816597550346895dd86dd2/html5/thumbnails/4.jpg)
HOW TO USE ‘TO BE’. Oh… Hello. My name
is Andy Warhol. You are my audience
today. I’m a pop-art artist
you know. This is one of my
pieces of art.
It is good, isn’t it?
![Page 5: Look at these T-shirts.](https://reader035.fdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022062305/56816597550346895dd86dd2/html5/thumbnails/5.jpg)
HOW TO USE ‘TO BE’. I am going to tell you
about pop-art. Does anyone know what this is?
I’m going to show you.
![Page 6: Look at these T-shirts.](https://reader035.fdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022062305/56816597550346895dd86dd2/html5/thumbnails/6.jpg)
WHAT IS POP-ART? Look at this picture. Do you recognise the
item in the painting? What is it?
It is indeed a can of soup. My favourite soup.
![Page 7: Look at these T-shirts.](https://reader035.fdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022062305/56816597550346895dd86dd2/html5/thumbnails/7.jpg)
WHAT IS POP-ART? Now look at this picture. Do you recognise the
person in the painting?Who is she?
It’s Marilyn Monroe, the famous singer and actrice.
How many Marilyns are there in the picture?
![Page 8: Look at these T-shirts.](https://reader035.fdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022062305/56816597550346895dd86dd2/html5/thumbnails/8.jpg)
WHAT IS POP-ART? So you see, pop-art is
an art-form in which I’m a specialist.
The artworks are inspired on popular mass products, such as the soup, or popular people like Marylin Monroe.
We always make more than one work of art.
![Page 9: Look at these T-shirts.](https://reader035.fdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022062305/56816597550346895dd86dd2/html5/thumbnails/9.jpg)
WHAT IS POP-ART? Pop-art is a reaction to
the traditional art.It is based on the principle that even everyday things like the soup can (or tin as the British like to call it) can be taken out of perspective to create art.
Art is art.

ARTS AND CRAFTS. Make a drawing (tekening) in the style of a
Keith Haring painting. The drawing has to express a personal
interest or a hobby of yours. We have 2 examples you can check out and
some of his artworks to inspire you. Next week you will have to give a 2 minute
presentation of your interest or hobby by using the drawing.
