3Jockey’s Championship Happy Valley

The Longines Jockeys’ Championship is run as a prelude on the Wednesday preceding the Longines Hong Kong International Races. Widely considered one of the most fiercely contested jockeys’ challenges in the world, this race meeting has 12 international riders who have achieved championship status throughout the world competing for approximately HK$800,000 in price money.

Silvestre de Sousa proudly displays the trophy after winning the Longines International Jockeys Championship at the spectacular inner-city Happy Valley Race Course.

View the four-race championships from your elevated, reserved box, located in the members grandstand. Floor to ceiling windows and balconies offer unparalleled views of the racetrack and the city scape beyond.

Full table service and advanced audio-visuals will ensure you do not miss out on a moment of the racing action while enjoying a delicious dinner in the company of fellow racing enthusiasts.

The Longines Hong Kong International race meeting is one of the most important fixtures for the world’s leading horses, jockeys, trainers and owners. Thousands of racing fans from around the world make their way to Sha Tin for this premier Hong Kong sporting event with prize money of a whopping HK$ 93 million divided between the four different Group 1 races as shown below:

Morning TrackworkTravel to Sha Tin Racecourse to take in Morning Trackwork. Mingle with officials, trainers and jockeys from all over the world. At the same time, you have the opportunity to see top trainers putting their horses through the paces in preparation for the big race on Sunday. Breakfast and transfers are included as part of this tour.

Day 5, Saturday 7 DecemberHONG KONG

Today is at leisure once again for you to explore Hong Kong’s myriad of attractions. Alternatively you have the choice of a tour to Macau or a shopping tour to the mainland China city of Shenzhen. Accommodation: Hong Kong

Day 6, Sunday 8 DecemberHONG KONG

Your morning is at leisure before transferring to Sha Tin Racetrack for the largest race meeting of the season, Hong Kong International Raceday. Soak up the wonderful atmosphere of this exciting event from the VIP area with International Buffet Lunch and afternoon tea, including standard bar, beers & house wine. Finish the day with a magnificent fireworks display.Accommodation: Hong Kong

Day 7, Monday 9 DecemberHONG KONG - SYDNEY

Morning is at leisure for any last minute shopping, and mid afternoon transfer to the airport and board your homeward bound flight.Accommodation: In Flight

Make your way to the airport today for your flight to Hong Kong. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your centrally located hotel. Accommodation: Hong Kong

Hong Kong changes so rapidly that the orientation tour this morning will refresh old memories and delight first timers. Tonight you will be transferred to Happy Valley Racecourse for the Hong Kong International Jockey’s Championship. Day 3, Thursday 5 DecemberHONG KONG

Explore this fascinating city at your leisure today or expand your sights by joining an optional tour to Lantau Island. Alternatively, you may venture into the Lau Fau Shan, a huge fish market where amidst the dozens of restaurants, you can personally pick out a live fish and have it prepared a variety of ways on the spot. Early this morning you will transfer to Sha Tin for morning trackwork and breakfast, see top trainers putting the horses through their paces before Sunday’s Hong Kong International Races. Attend racings popular Carbine Club Lunch in the Grand Ballroom of the Grand Hyatt Hotel. There’s no better time to be visiting Hong Kong than December. The lively winter festival brings together all of the elements the city is renowned for such as great shopping and culinary treats, along with all the festivities, decorations and celebrations of the festive season.

The tour cost is based on flying Economy Class with Qantas Airways, with a minimum total of 20 passengers departing from Sydney.
