Texto Bíblico: Isaias 65: 23-25 Sriptures: Isaiah 65: 23-25

23 They will not labor in vain, nor will they bear children doomed to misfortune; for they will be a people blessed by the Lord, they and their descendants with them. 24 Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear. 25 The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox, and dust will be the serpent’s food. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain,” says the Lord.

23 No trabajarán en vano, ni darán a luz para maldición; porque son linaje de los benditos de Jehová, y sus descendientes con ellos. 24 Y antes que clamen, responderé yo; mientras aún hablan, yo habré oído. 25 El lobo y el cordero serán apacentados juntos, y el león comerá paja como el buey; y el polvo será el alimento de la serpiente. No afligirán, ni harán mal en todo mi santo monte, dijo Jehová.

En el terreno de la política internacional, el libro de Isaías nos trasmite los ecos de un período de angustia que discurre bajo la sombra amenazadora del expansionismo del imperio asirio. Contexto de la Lectura Context of the Scriptures Mientras tanto, el reino de Judá que ha mantenido un equilibrio inestable ante la amenaza Asiria, se suma, en coalición con otras naciones y contra los consejos de Isaías, a un intento de rebelión, y provoca la intervención armada del emperador que pone cerco a Jerusalén. Meanwhile, the kingdom of Judah, who had maintained a stable equilibrium before the Assyrian threat, it was adds to rebellion, in coalition with other nations and against the advice of Isaiah. That actions was considered an attempted rebellion for the emperor, causing armed intervention to Jerusalem. The capital unexpectedly survived but the new imposes a heavy tribute (2 Kings 18:14).

Análisis/ Analysis El profeta recibe una vision de parte de Dios la cual transmite. Esa vision no tiene su asidero en el contexto porque es demasiado adverso pero se alimenta de la esperanza en Dios. Tiene conciencia de la historia pero asume una vision que supera la realidad

The prophet receives a vision from God which share. That vision does not have its base in the context because it is too adverse but feeds on hope in God. It has historical awareness but assumes a vision that exceeds the reality

Esa promesa es retomada en apocalipsis 21 como una vision de futuro. Los problemas son otros pero la necesidad es la misma: Esperanza que esta basada en el proyecto de Dios que supera cualquier entorno.

That promise is taken up in Revelation 21 as a vision for the future. The problems are different but the need is the same: The Hope that is based on the plan of God that exceeds any context.

Aplicación a la vida/ Going to the life

Hacer teología y ministerio en America Latina pasa por reconocer el plan de Dios a través de una historia marcada por las dificultades sociales. No se puede hacer teología o ministerio de espaldas a esa realidad

Making theology and ministry in Latin America meangs to recognize God's plan through a history caracterized by social adversities. You can not do theology or ministry back to that reality

Aplicación a la vida/ Going to the life

Esa realidad se manifiesta en personas concretas que en su conjunto conforman una sociedad que necesita la esperanza que viene de Dios. Esa es la clave de un proyecto que contenga la esperanza profética que viene de Dios para America Latina

This reality is showed through concrete persons that together make up a society which needs the hope that comes from God. That is the key for a project that contains the prophetic hope that comes from God to Latin America

Aplicación a la vida/ Going to the life

El método para lograr esa vision es el discernimiento que busca encontrar a Dios en las personas, en la sociedad y en la historia de America Latina, el Espiritu de Dios que guió a los personajes bíblicos es el mismo que está presente en su pueblo hoy

The method for achieving this vision is the discernment that seeks to find God in people, in society and in the history of Latin America, the Spirit of God that guided the Bible people is the same that is present in our reality today. The Scriptures teach us about it

Aplicación a la vida/ Going to the life

Busquemos la guía que inspiró a Isaias, la que inspiró a Juan, la visión de Jesús que nos ofrece renovar en El todas las cosas y Dios en su fidelidad lo hará realidad a través del ministerio que realizamos.

Let’s seek the guidance that inspired Isaiah, the same which inspired John's in the Revelation`s book: The vision of Jesus that offers us renew all things in Him, and God will do it for His loyalty through the ministry that we do.
