COMPANY INTRODUCTION Kung Long Batteries Industrial Co., Ltd., an expert manufacturer of lead acid
batteries, established since 1990 that owns a bonded factory and is the first bonded factory and
publ icly traded lead acid battery manufacture on the Taiwan Stock Exchange. In order to
d i v e r s i f y o u r p r o d u c t i o n a n d e x p a n d o u r m a r k e t s h a r e , w e m o v e d o u r i n t e r n a t i o n a l
manufactur ing d iv is ion to V ie tnam in Long An in 1996. We were the f i rs t 100% owned
foreign-funded enterpr ise to establ ish a bat tery factory in Vietnam. In 2007, we f in ished
construction on our 2nd plant in Duc Hoa which occupies 200,000 square meters and continues
to expand as we are in Phase-6 production construction now. We have ISO9001, ISO14001,
OHSAS18001 and TL9000 certificate. With 3 factories and our rich experience, we can be your
best partner of your energy solutions.
Besides R&D innovation, strict controls over the production procedures are also required for
quality assurance. We set up inspection stations in every part of the manufacturing process, and
established strict inspection forms for each production procedure to assure the high quality of
each product. Our quality policy has won clients’ trust. Meanwhile, we have been approved and
used by several g lobal companies in the UPS, Secur i ty Alarm, Wheelchair , and Medical
industries. Many of our customers are the leaders in their industry. Each of our sealed lead acid
batteries has received UL Certification approval. In addition, there are many items that have
gone through the very strict and long German VdS certification testing process. Also our VRLA
batteries are compatible with global standards such as JIS C8702/8704, IEC 61056-1, IEC
60896-21, etc.

RECOMMENDED RECHARGING INTERVAL & METHOD
HANDLING INSTRUCTION
High performance and long service life of LONG battery depend upon correct charging. Improper charging modes or inadequate charging equipment result in decreased battery life and/or unsatisfactory performance.Any of the conventional charging techniques may be used, but to obtain maximum service life and capacity,along with acceptable recharge time, constant current/constant voltage charging is recommended.A charge quantity of 105-120% of the previous discharged quantity is needed for fully charging the battery.The charging voltage of battery decreases with increasing temperature and increases with decreasing temperature. At a temperature below 5˚C(41˚F) or above 35˚C(95˚F), the temperature compensation for charging voltage is necessary. At ambient temperature the compensation will not be necessary.Overcharging Should be avoided : As a result of too high a charge voltage. excessive current will flow after reaching full charge, causing decomposition of water in the electrolyte and, hence, premature aging.Undercharging Should also be avoided : If too low a charge voltage is applied, the charger current output will essentially stop before the battery is fully charged. This allows some of the lead sulfate to remain on the plates which will eventually reduce capacity.

Do not short the terminals.Do not place the battery near or in fires.Do not use the battery in a container or bag without proper ventilation.Operate at a temperature between –15˚C to 50˚C. But for cycle use, the 5˚C to 35˚C temperature range is recommended.To properly store the battery, remove battery from equipment or charge and store in a dry and cool place.Immediately recharge after discharging.If sulfuric acid from the battery is spilled on skin or clothing, wash immediately with water. If acid comes in contact with eyes, flush with large amounts of water and immediately see a doctor.To obtain maximum life, the ripple current at the r.m.s current of the charger should be regulated to less than 0.1 C(A).Avoid mixed use of batteries. Different capacities, histories, or manufacturers of batteries may cause damage to the batteries or other equipment’s.

MSK series battery is suitable for the range of applications including telecommunications, telephony, emergency lighting, distribution systems, railway, airport and seaport signaling, automation and distribution systems.
