Trafalgar Square is a tourist attraction located in the heart of London and is guarded by the towering monument, Nelsons Column. Both visitors and Londoners visit the attraction as a place for relaxation. It is particularly crowded during events including Chinese New Year, St. Patricks Day, and Christmas ceremonies. Trafalgar Square is also often used as the starting point for a symbolic Central London tour. The name of the square reminds people of the famous Battle of Trafalgar that took place during the Napoleonic Wars and that ended with the British naval victory.

Absolutely not! London Bridge is an ordinary modern (1973) bridge which spans the river Thames. Its predecessor, built in 1820, is now located at Lake Havasu in Arizona. Tower Bridge, completed in 1894, also spans the river Thames and is the only bridge across the Thames which can be raised to allow large ships to pass underneath it, although that doesn't happen very often now. The original Victorian mechanism can still be seen in working condition in the bridge's museum. The bridge is quite distinctive, with two tall towers at each end and is situated next to the Tower of London from where it got its name.Is the tower bridge the same as the London bridge?

The hour-hand is 9 feet long. The clock bell is called Big Ben after Sir Benjamin Hall. He had the job to see that the bell was put up.Sir Benjamin was a big man. One day he said in Parliament, "Shall we call the bell St. Stephen's?" St. Stephen's is the name of the tower. But someone said for a joke, "Why not call it Big Ben?" Now the bell is known all over the world by that name.

Westminster Abbey is one of the most famous, historic and widely visited churches not only in Britain, but in the whole Christian world. There are other reasons for its fame apart from its beauty and its vital role as a center of the Christian faith in one of the worlds most important capital cities. These include the facts that since 1066 every sovereign apart from Edward Y and Edward VIII has been crowned here and that for many centuries it was also the burial place of kings, queens and princes.WESTMINSTER ABBEY
