London is the capital of the United Kingdom and one of the largest cities in Europe. Located on the River Thames. There are approximately 8,000,000. people in London. Modern London is a major center of finance and commerce, cultural and academic center. The city is full of monuments and museums. London has the oldest underground in the world. In 2012, in London for the third time in its history has hosted the Summer Olympic Games. London is visited each year about 30 million tourists from all over the world – BE ONE OF THEM!

Buckingham Palace, the residence of the British monarch. The palace was built in 1703. On the square in front of the palace there is a statue of Queen Victoria. Palace is also the official state ceremonies and meetings of heads of state. From April to July, every day at 11:30 am in front of the palacethere is a ceremonial changing of the guard.

Collegiate Church of St. Peter (Westminster Abbey) - This is another important temple. Constructed and reconstructed from age 10 to 16. There is another chair copper crown year of 1301 which crowned all the kings of England. Abbey has been operating since 1066.

The famous Big Ben is a clock of one of the towers of Westminster. His shield was designed by Augustus

Pugin. The tower is 96.3 meters tall and the clock measures 7 meters. Tip hour measures 2.7 meters and

4.2 meters minute.

St Paul's Cathedral is one of the most famous churches of Great Britain. Cathedral

was built in years 1675 - 1710 in the Baroque style. Galleries are located here: stone gallery and Gallery

whispers.

Bridge-tower weighs 2,000 tons. Footbridges is suspended at 34

meters above the road and more than a 44 meters above the designation in the river. The

British Museum, one of the largest museums of ancient history. There are exhibits of ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome. Another museum worth seeing is the Natural History Museum. The museum collection consists of more than 70 million objects that you can touch, taste, perform various simulations and experiments. In the main hall there is a dinosaur skeleton cast (Diplodocus).

The Madame Tussauds London is a wax musem where you can

meet famous people from various walks of life such as

film, music, sports and politics. Among the Poles, who have their own figures are Lech

Walesa and Pope John Paul II. The figures are life-size and

made of wax.

London subway is the oldest subway in the world. The first travelers have benefited from it in 1863. It now consists of 12 lines, 275 stations and 408 km of slopes. Around 3 million passengers use it every day . Londoners and visitors can move quickly from one end of the town to the other.

London Eye observation wheel is located in Lambeth in London, on the south bank of the Thames. At

the circle there are 32 capsules. By traveling in a capsule you can

admire the panorama of London for 40 minutes.

Red buses. The red colour and the two decks are a symbol of London's transport and Great Britain. The first red bus left the street in 1925.
