David Koma“One of London fashion’s exciting talents – so much so that today
was his debut solo on-schedule London Fashion Week show”
The collection was inspired by tribal body paint. For Koma, the body is always A blank canvas- he is a designer who loves women and loves to show off theFemale form- which made this tribal blank canvas concept a fitting one.
Meadham Kirchhoff
“Among them there were brilliantly tailored, laser-cut leather jackets, little checked gym slips and lace-
edged brocade dresses in the full sweetie spectrum – later they had stiffened, exaggerated hips to echo the shape of huge ruffle-bottomed lace knickers that came
next”.
“You almost could have missed the clothes, it was such a fantastic show,”
Mary Katrantzou"Man meets machine meets mother earth, an army of petal, metal, print"
“If mismatched prints are a firm feature of spring/summer 2012 already, then Katrantzou's the undisputed ringleader of them, some of hers exaggerated by seed pearl outlines, encrusted with contrasting patches of jewels or beset with panels of iridescence to enliven them even more.”
Reviews“London Fashion Week most definitely made an impact this time with a mixture of trends and unique concepts from each designer.”
“London Fashion Week was, as usual, high energy and full of classic talent as well as some aspiring designers.”
“What is this magical circus of creativity and vision? Nothing more than a glorified parents’ evening where indulgent adults sit and cluck over fatuous enfants terribles with a flair for faux fur and fringing. But do I love it? Yes, of course I do. I would sell a kidney to sit in that front row.”
