DESIGN OF VISUAL IDENTITY (LOGO) FOR UPSOCA • 1ST PRESENTATION
The very graphic and simple form in this approach
represents the gestural action of ‘selecting the
best’. The human hand is carefully endorsing the
best – product and/or process. The counter-form
inside the hand is reminiscent of geo-tagging, as if
UPSOCA is identifying the best practices in Organic
production & processes and certifying it. The
outer form looks like two leaves, symbolising the
harmonious relationship with nature.
CONCEPT 1
A very simple and bold symbol, in one colour, it
is easy to replicate across different media and also
in black-and-white without diluting the essence
of the idea.
The aquamarine green colour relates to nature –
water – that is the source of all life. It’s authorita-
tive tone is unique and stands out from other
symbols set in bright green or deep blue.

DESIGN OF VISUAL IDENTITY (LOGO) FOR UPSOCA • 1ST PRESENTATION
The graphic and simple form in this approach
highlights the letter – ‘U’ of Uttar Pradesh, making
the Organic Certification unique to the state.
Inside this form (Uttar Pradesh), is the graphical
representation of a leaf and the wheat stalk
indicating the relationship with natural products
and processes – representing both agriculture,
horticulture and forests. The overall form also
looks like the profile of a container relating to the
aspect of processing.
CONCEPT 2
A very graphic yet bold symbol, in one colour, it is
easy to replicate across different media and also
in black-and-white without diluting the essence
of the idea. Even at smaller sizes, it is easy to
recognize.
The sharp indian red colour relates to soil which
is the base of all production, lending the logo an
authoritative tone.

DESIGN OF VISUAL IDENTITY (LOGO) FOR UPSOCA • 1ST PRESENTATION
This logo is a narrative in itself. The popular
mangoes from Uttar Pradesh set the tone. Within
it, the pea pod and the leaf are symbolically
representing the harmonious relationship between
humans and nature. The almost symmetrical form
represents analysis and process. The dynamically
placed seeds on the top represent growth and
progress. The white counter-form around the pea-
pod and the leaf appears to be the English letter
‘U’ representing the state.
CONCEPT 3
A very graphic symbol, it is appealing and has
a high recall value. In one colour, it is easy to
replicate across different media and also in black-
and-white without diluting the essence of the idea.
The subtle sap green colour represents the
diversity in nature, lending the logo a unique and
authoritative tone.

DESIGN OF VISUAL IDENTITY (LOGO) FOR UPSOCA • 1ST PRESENTATION
This unique and self-explanatory logo in circular
form represents the seal of authority. The leaves
in both the directions are symbolic of natural
processes and natural products. The seeds
portray the basic essence of life and growth.
The counter form of the two leaves – the midrib
becomes the symbol of approval – a tick mark,
making the overall symbol a sign of approval.
CONCEPT 4
A very graphic symbol, with a strong message, it
has high recall value. In one colour, it is easy to
replicate across different media and also in black-
and-white without diluting the essence of the idea.
The aquamarine green colour relates to nature
– water – that is the source of all life. It’s
authoritative tone is unique and stands out from
other symbols set in bright green or deep blue.
