ADMINISTRATOR’S CORNER “I forgot my card, can I be so and so’s guest?”
It still surprises me at how many times this happens. No, members can not be guests. The
benefits of membership are reserved for members, and your membership card is your
proof. It is that simple. The bartenders are instructed to serve only those that provide this
proof. The burden is on you. Now I understand that things happen sometimes. My
suggestion to you is to register your Moose ID on the International website. Go to
www.mooseintl.org. On the bottom of the page under “RESOURCES” is “MY
MEMBERSHIP RECORD”. Register your ID, and then in the off chance that you actually
forget or lose your card, you can pull up your membership record on your smart phone
and humbly show your volunteer bartender your expiration date. Call the Moose helpline
at 1-888-906-3658 to replace a lost card.
Also, be aware that the House Committee has seen fit to walk back the previously
announced policy requirement of proving membership for each purchase to proving
membership to each bartender at each visit. In other words, you must show your
membership card to every bartender on duty every day.
We have an election coming up on April 2 for the Men’s Board. If you are interested,
please see a bartender for the required form, and turn in ASAP. The final ballot will be
established by the nomination committee at its final meeting on March 12, and announced
to the membership at the membership meeting on March 19. Election will
take place from noon until 6:00 p.m. on April 2 if any races are contested.
Fraternally yours,
Kevin Wishau – Administrator
NEWS FROM YOUR GOVERNOR Hello everyone,
Well folks, to be completely honest, this message has been much more difficult to write
than I thought it would be. The reason is, this is my last message from the Governor, as
my 2nd term comes to conclusion this coming April.
I just want everyone to know that it has been an honor and blessing to serve as Governor.
The amount of dedication and support has been overwhelming. I have had the privilege of
serving with some of the most dedicated men on the Board of Officers. Some of our
undertakings have been relatively smooth. Others have been a challenge. But either way,
we have always managed to find a way.
For the last year we have been talking about volunteerism. I have learned that the Racine
Moose Lodge has an amazing group of volunteers. And it is because of those volunteers
we have the success we have. The men and women of Lodge 437 and Chapter 631 are
simply amazing.
My plans are to stay as active as possible within the Lodge. We are planning some pretty
spectacular things coming up. I look forward to serving for many years to come. Let me
finish by once again saying THANK YOU to all our members for all of our success!
Fraternally yours,
Duane Michalski – Governor

Senior Regent News
Well, March is already here. Hard to believe it is the third month of the year
already. That means that this is my last newsletter I will be writing as your Senior
Regent. Elections will be held March 26. The new officers will be installed in April
and take over as a new board starting May 1. I want to thank ALL the Officers,
WOTM members and LOOM for the help and support that I have received in the
past year. I hope you think that we have done a few good things for the WOTM
and the LOOM. Please come out to vote. Then give your new officers the help
and support that I have received.
So many events and fun things have gone on the last two months: horseshoe
tournament, state pool tournament, Comedy Night, Super Bowl Party, WOTM
pool tournament, just to name a few. Not to mention recurring Taco Night,
Hamburger Night and Grilled Cheese and Soup Night. Look over your calendar
for March and April. Come out and join us for a fun time.
There are many new and annual events happening at the Moose for the next few
months. Start by reading the calendar or upcoming events section in your
newsletter, then check the website and finally look at the Facebook page.
Sometimes there are changes or updates.
Women’s meetings are the second and fourth Tuesday of
each month at 7:00 p.m. Plan to come out to see what we
are all about.
Thanks again for all the support.
Hoping soon, Spring will appear and Winter will be gone.
Linda Jensen – WOTM Senior Regent for now
