The shots at the start are to have a sense of establishment; so that when the series begins the audience will have a clear idea of where it is set and where the action will take place. This is a establishing shot of the pub, extreme close up of the “The Jockey” (pub name) connoting the pub is full of people taking a chance; ironic as Jockey’s are associated to a Bourgeoisie class but the setting is a pub associated to the dangerous class – Binary opposition (Levi Strauss). This sense of division/rivalry is the key social issue that will be present throughout the trailer. We chose this particular location as it is urbanized and is a place in which different working class

Establishing shot

Harriet’s HouseThis is where Harriet and the ‘New Boyfriend’ are getting ready, this is located in Lower Sunbury, it allowed us to cover several different angles and shot types such as: feet shots, tracking shots, high angle shots. The house has a very large mirror in the front room and allowed us to get our shots of the ‘New Boyfriend’ – showing the distance between the two characters, as Harriet gets ready in an entirely different room.

Sunbury Train StationThis is where the flashbacks will occur, Sunbury Train Station has a foot bridge where we can do high angle shots of the ‘Villain’ and Harriet dancing on the platform, then as the action develops in the trailer it shows Harriet walking away from the ‘Villain’ and leaving him sitting on his own at the station, this is also where we shall do a rotating shot of us dancing. This also shows the social context of the trailer that it’s based around a working class setting, as workers and businessmen/women use the train station on an everyday basis.
