• Park Rise Road, leatherhead

We have named our soap after our school which is this road so this could be used in the establishing shot, which will be a close up shot (CU). This highlights to the audience where about the soap is located and gives a insight to the environment of the setting.

• School alley way, Grange RoadThe alley way will be where the most dramatic scene such as the girl being chased will take place. This is because it is dark and dirty down there, which gives the impression it is very isolated from the school. This would be used by students hiding out of teachers sights. We will use a here becauase it will show the alleyway and those chasing the girl, as it is important to get the whole of the surroundings in.

• School toilets, St. Andrew’s schoolA lot of girls gather in the school toilets daily. By including this location would make our soap more realistic and relatable for real life students watching the soap.

Ashtead woods

The woods can be an very eerie place and can be very scary. This could make an intense dramatic scene. We will use a range of shots here such as Long Shot (LS) so the audience can see the location clearly. By using close up shot (CU) we will be able to show the expression on the characters faces, such as if they look scared. We will also explore using a tracking shot to show running through the woods.

Potential Hazards/Risks

Location specific -Why?How will this be resolved?

• Park Rise road- This is a busy residential road with a lot of park cars and moving cars. We will have to watch out for these and be careful when crossing the road. We will film in day light which will reduce the risk of not being seen.

• School alley way- This can become very busy with young children and mothers in the morning and at 3pm. When filming we will work around these times incase our camera get knocked over and to prevent other people getting in our shot.

• School toilets- The floor can become very wet around the sinks so we will have to be careful to avoid puddles so we don’t slip. We could also wear sensible footwear such as trainers to ensure we don’t fall on the wet patches.

• Woods- Woodland areas have a lot of fallen branches and tree stumps which you could trip and fall on. This could damage filming equipment or you could hurt yourself. To stop this from happening we will have to watch where we are stepping and wear appropriate footwear.
