Location Recce

The first location is a local restaurant called 'Amici‘ and this location is needed for scene 4.

• We chose this location because it had all the mise en scene that we wanted to include in this scene, for example the red walls to connote romance. The only thing it did not include was roses however this is something we can add when we film.

• The location was quite which means our filming will not be interrupted and the owner was happy for us to use this location.

• This photo was taken from the location on a Friday afternoon showing this might be the best time to film.

• The table in the photo is the one that we hope to use.

This second location is a street which is in the local town, where the market usually is. This location will be used for scene 5.

• As this street is in town, it means it is unpredictable as how busy and loud it will be. However if we go on the right day it may be empty like the photo.

• This location is also weather dependent, as if it pours with rain it will not look as good and romantic and therefore we may not be able to film there.

• However, if we can get permission to use this location and the weather is good it will be a good place to use.

•The third location we decided to use was the school library. This was because at the right time, for example at 3.10pm it isn't too busy and therefore quiet for us to film in. As well as this, the school were happy for us to film our media project here however a public library may not have been as open to this.

•The only problem with this location is the lighting, as from you can see from the photo it is quite yellow.

•However this is something that we may be able to fix in editing and therefore won’t affect the filming.

This location is at school and is where the field starts, therefore making it a good location. This scene will be used for scene 5.

• This location was a good place to film because it looked romantic due to the where the leaves had fallen and it also didn't look like school as there were no signs of it.

• It will also be easier to film here than a real park as the school will be more flexible than if we were to get in touch with the council.

• However this location depends on the weather as we cannot film here if it is raining.

•This location is another local street in the town. This scene will be used for scene 5.

• This street includes bollards which we needed for one of shots and when we saw this street we thought it would be the perfect place to film due to the fact that it was quiet. 

• However, this location again depends on the weather and therefore if it is raining the location may be ruined and maybe too dangerous for the actors as they may slip.

• This location is for scene 10 and is a living room, although this scene will be in the dark for the actual film so you will not see as much of it.

• This location has easy access and we have permission to use it, however it may be occupied during evenings so we will have to use it during the day which could be a problem if people have lessons.

• This location is quiet and therefore will not interrupt our filming and the romantic theme that this location will be.

• This location is for scene 13 and is the dining room.

• Again this location is easy accessible especially during the day as it is the same place as the living room location. This therefore makes it easier to film these two scenes on the same day.

• However, this locations lighting is not good as from the picture you can see that it is quite dark and therefore we will have to use unnatural lighting, to brighten the place up to be.

• This location is the front door of a house and is for scene 1.

• This location is temperamental as the weather may disrupt filming here and we may find another front door to use.

• As well as this, this location is difficult to light, so we will have to use a sunny day to get natural lighting here.

• This location is the front door of a house and is for scene 12.

• Again this location is dependent on weather although we may be able to get away with this location if it rains because it will add to the emotion of the scene.

• However this location is big and therefore means that it will be easy to film here and get everybody there.

• This location is a kitchen and is for scene 7.

• This location is good to use because it is a big kitchen and this is what we wanted due to that fact that it meant to portray that the character is rich.

• As well as this it is the schools kitchen meaning that we can get permission to use it.

• However this kitchen is used for classes meaning that we cannot use the kitchen if a class is being taught in here, meaning we may have to use somewhere else.
