The Harm Lagaay designed Porsche 944 Turbo had similar performance to the 911 equivalent in its day but was a much better balanced car. The gearbox is a transaxle and is located as part of the differential at the rear of the car. Weight distribution is 50.7% front and 49.3% rear

Our Porsche 944 Turbo was acquired in April 2015 to participate in car club events with the Thoroughbred Sports Car Club and the Classic Rally Club.The TSCC events are mainly lunch runs and the CRC events are navigational rallies where you have to obey all speed limits (or be penalised). A Monit Rally Computer has been professionally fitted and will be included in the sale. The car shows no evidence of any other motorsport activity.In our ownership the car has been completely refurbished mechanically and there are no outstanding service items.The mileage of 152,896km is fully documented and is based on 92,061 miles on the original speedometer and 4,739 km on the replacement.It has a very full specification including:• Beige leather trim in outstanding condition• Power sunroof that can be removed and stowed in the boot

in its own cover• Electric locking• Air conditioning• Power mirrors & windows• Radio with automatic antenna

The only modifications are a ceramic coated exhaust and the white faces on the instruments which makes them much easier to read

The last service was completed in January 2020. Everything is up to date

All service work except the aircon has been completed by 944 owner and specialist Roger Korte on our premises. A hoist is installed in our shed at Kurrajong Heights and the car may be viewed on the hoist.

The Monit rally computer is mounted so it is visible to both navigator and driver and can be operated by both
