The Idea is…

• To let user explore an area by playing a game• The game involves getting solutions to puzzles

based on some parameters which can only be found by exploring the area

• The incentive for the user is great prizes after reaching a certain level, say level 5 or level 10

• Not just malls, but whole markets or areas can adopt the game


Win-Win-Win

• For user– He plays the game which is fun (a.k.a amazing race)– He gets the prizes (grand prizes too)

• For Mall– The shops get more footfalls– The prizes can be discount coupons at shops, so

better sales• For us– We charge premium sms rates from user– We charge the mall for providing this game


Issues

• A database of puzzles need to be compiled– This can be done in a day or two

• The game must not be predictable– We can randomize puzzles in each level

• Not all users win the prizes– Higher the level, tougher the puzzles, lesser the

time-to-solve


The Best Thing

• The technology works for itself• That is, we can setup such systems at 100s of

places all around the city• Our physical presence is not required• Only occasional updating of puzzles database

is required


More Issues

• Will people really play this game?– Frankly, no idea. But my best guess is yes, they

will play. It is a fun way to hang out with friends.

• Puzzle making = Creativity– But there is no dearth of creativity in India


The Future

• Expand to other cities• More games such as ad-hoc dates• Exploring the idea further: “Let customer

interact with his surroundings physically through mobile medium.”
