Dear Millstone River Families,
Welcome back to our returning Millstone River Eagles -‐ and to our new families -‐ welcome to the
Millstone River community! We hope you enjoyed a fun and relaxing Summer. It is with great
enthusiasm that we invite you to get ready for another exci5ng and successful school year. We
encourage all of you to get acquainted with our organiza5on, enroll as a member, and get involved in the
great events and programs offered by Millstone River School PTA.
The MRSPTA is an ac5ve, private, non-‐profit volunteer organiza5on where parents and teachers work
together to provide educa5onal, fun and enriching programs for students and their families. The cost of
these programs is funded from a number of sources, including membership fees. Being a PTA member
does not mean you have to volunteer your 5me -‐-‐ it just means that you take pride in your child’s school
and want to support an organiza5on that makes your child’s school year more fulfilling. For returning
members, please renew your membership for 2015-‐2016.
With your support, we can con5nue to make Millstone River s5mula5ng, challenging and nurturing for
our children. The MRSPTA Execu5ve Board has been hard at work planning many events and programs
for the 2015-‐16 school year, including student assemblies, family fun nights, staff apprecia5on events,
and educa5onal programs to showcase the diverse talents of our students.
In addi5on to the programs described above, the MRSPTA provides resources, services and funds to
enhance the educa5onal experience of every child at Millstone River School. In order to provide these
services, which are not covered by the school budget, we conduct various fundraising ac5vi5es
throughout the year, which include book fairs, cookie dough sales, winter party silent auc5on and
corporate proceeds rewards.
All these wonderful programs are run by parent volunteers, like you. We encourage you to get involved.
Whatever 5me you are able to give would be greatly appreciated. We have various tasks that can be
performed in the evenings, during the day, or at home at your convenience.

beginning on Wednesday, September 30th at 9:30am in the mul5-‐purpose room. There also will be PTA
representa5ves at Back to School Nights who will be more than happy to answer any ques5ons you may
have. Most of our event no5ces and reminders will be sent to you electronically. All of our mee5ng and
