study the causes and consequences ofpolitical conflicts of Namcheaw SubdistrictMunicipality with the local people. Sampleof this research were 5 locals of NamcheawSubdistrict Municipality in Suratthani,related to the local politics in Suratthani,consisted of the old political group, the

new political group and the old and newpolitical support group (campaigners orsupporters). The tools used in this studywere the questionnaires. Collectedstatistical data was analysed as adescriptive summary. The research

findings were summarised as follows:According to the Constitution of theKingdom of Thailand, B.E. 2550 andDecentralisation Act, it was emphasised onthe local government authorities havingthe right to govern themselvesindependently, and decentralising byallowing the authorised representative toself-manage locally. However, that led to asituation of conflicts since either side wastrying to make their own opinions andachieve them, fostering a pattern ofdisagreement, thus arising said conflicts.

caused by the differences of opinionbetween the old and new politicians groupthat came from the individualcharacteristics such as background,perception, sensation and the unclearcommunication and perception systems ofdifferent individuals. Hence affected the

local communities to have deterioratedinterpersonal relationships and trust,divided factions and a feud that may leadto solving problems with emotions ratherthan reasons or with pressures andviolence in such manner that rose death

toll, ultimately causing people to be fed upwith politics.
