Project description Pound Keeper’s Residence (former) restoration
Reason for the project The Pound Keeper's residence c.1840 is highly significant locally for its association with the early process of stock control in NSW. It is the oldest existing building in Taralga. Restoration of later additions including wrought iron columns and verandah panels were considered necessary.

Project No. 2/2010-2011 Heritage item address ‘Normanton’ 4103 Goulburn Road Crookwell NSW 2583 Project description ‘Normanton’ restoration works Reason for the project 'Normanton', a late Victorian [1891], two-storey stone residence, is highly significant
locally as an example of a classic rural residence. It has added importance for its association with the builder, John Howard, who built St Mary’s Catholic Church and the Hotel Crookwell. Re-pointing brick chimneys and exterior painting of verandah posts and wrought iron was required to maintain the heritage integrity of this building.

Reason for the project Corrugated roofing and guttering was required to replace the deteriorated, non-original tiles on this single storey commercial building. The Binda Store contributes significantly to the heritage streetscape.

Project description Funny Hill National School (former) restoration works
Reason for the project The National School, Funny Hill Station is highly significant locally in relation to the establishment of early educational facilities in Binda. Restoration works were required to repair window heads and sills, reinstate air vents, re-point stonework and repair and extend down piping away from building. This project is part of an ongoing restoration project which will ensure the stability of the building.

Project description St Matthew’s Church restoration works
Reason for the project St Matthew’s Anglican Church, located in the centre of the Bannaby district, is an outstanding example of a church sited to dominate its local surroundings. Repainting the walls of the Vestry, exterior woodwork and roof was required to maintain the heritage quality of this building.

Project description ‘Montrose’ restoration works
Reason for the project
Restoration of front entrance door and reinstatement of embossed glass/ leadlight with etched glass is part of the ongoing restoration of Montrose. Montrose is a two storey brick residence designed by the renowned architect, E. C. Manfred of Goulburn, erected for Charles Schroeder in 1887.

Project description ‘Rose Cottage’ restoration works
Reason for the project
Restoration of windows with Victorian etched glass, restoration and repainting of front door and verandah posts and replacement of the bullnose roof were essential to maintain the structural and heritage integrity of Rose Cottage, built as an inn c.1890. The cottage continues to make a distinct heritage contribution to the Binda streetscape.

Reason for the project The Presbyterian Church at Laggan was commissioned in 1876. Many of the original features have been restored and the building is now in use as a private residence. Underpinning was required to reinforce the structural integrity of external stone walls.

Reason for the project Richlands homestead complex, including the woolshed, is highly significant regionally for its association with the history of John and Elizabeth Macarthur. Repairs to shearing shed roof were required to weather proof as part of the ongoing restoration program for this property.
