LOAD TRAINING ID Card Application

• If you’re applying for an SLP ID card for the very first time. • Or • If you currently hold an SLP passport that will soon expire and you need to replace it.

• Then you can apply for an ID card through the SLP web site by clicking on the tab marked;

• Commencing January 2014 all SLP driver Passports will be replaced with the new SLP identification card.

• When your Current Passport Expires you will need to apply for a new SLP identification card.

2013 2014

• Once you have completed your application; by providing your contact details and have completed payment for your new ID card, you will receive an email or text message that contains your ID number and a unique password.

• Using your ID number and password you can access the SLP load training web site where you will find; • Your identification and contact details. • Load training videos • Load training handbook • Trainer contact details • Terminal contact details

• With access to the list of SLP trainers and contact details, you will need to contact a licensed trainer, agree training payment terms and book in for Load Training.

• Attend and complete the face to face training course.

• Once you have completed the course the trainer will then confirm that you have attended face to face training in the online SLP training system.

Contact Terminal Check ID documents Confirm ID Access Online Assessment

• You can now contact an SLP terminal from the list of available terminals on the SLP training system, and book in for an identification check and training assessment.

• When you arrive at the agreed appointment time, you will be required to confirm your identification.

• Identification must be confirmed by providing either an Australian or International passport or your Australian drivers license.

• Once your identification is confirmed the terminal supervisor will log on to the SLP WEB site and confirm your identification in the online SLP training system.

• The SLP training system will now allow you to access the online assessment program when you log on to the SLP WEB site.

Access Online Assessment Complete Assessment

• Access the load training assessment via your dashboard using your unique ID and pass code.

• Completes the online assessment (Please note that the SLP assessment can be completed on a computer or tablet device).

• It might be necessary for you to request some guidance or advice from the terminal supervisor to complete the assessment.

• This guidance will be limited to helping you with navigating the system, and clarification of questions.

• At no point will you be directed to the correct answers.

Online Assessment

• Once you complete the assessment and have achieved a pass score, your ID expiry date is automatically updated.

• You will not be required to complete an online reassessment for 2 years.

• Note: you are given 3 attempts to achieve a pass score before the assessment system will lock you out.

• If you are unfortunate and fail all 3 attempts you must contact SLP or your trainer for further assistance.

Online Assessment Passed New ID Card Sent Training module access for 2 years

• When you have passed the online assessment you will be sent an SLP ID card in the post within 48hrs.

• ID cards are posted to the delivery address that you have provided to SLP.

• You will continue to have online access to all the training modules for a period of 2 years.
