FEBRUARY.
IT CAN LAST UP TO 3 WEEKS AND ENDS THE DAY BEFORE
ASH WEDNESDAY (In Italian Mercoledì delle Ceneri)
It ends on Shrove Tuesday - Pancake Day (In Italian Martedì
Grasso)
It’s a tradition that goes back to the
first Christians during Roman times,
but settled in the Medieval Ages and
has maintained very old costumes
and rituals along with modern ones
PEOPLE DRESS UP IN MANY
DIFFERENT COSTUMES.
