lloyd loom

Symphonie Lloyd Loom is the name of a unique braided materi­al, which consists of a steel wire wound in kraft pa­per. The production itself is a very unique pro cess, which dates from 1917, where the American Marschall B. Lloyd got the patent for this process. In 1922 the English company „Lusty Lloyd Loom“ got the license for the manufacturing in Europe, since then the com­pany has designed most of the classic „wicker chair models“, which are still available on the market.

We carry some of the classic Lloyd Loom models in our range of products, and to complement these, we have developed a series of our own models.

Sika Design is a merger between the two very first manufactureres of rattan furniture in Scandinavia: Horsnæs Design (1940), and Sika Møbler (1950), thus drawing on more than 70 years of experience with­in manufacturing and design of furniture. Ever since the day of founding, we have specialized in the ma­nufacturing and distribution of high quality rattan and wicker furniture.

We are based in the „Old Cider Works“ in Rynkeby at Funen, from where we distribute our collections to countries all over the world.
