This presentation will introduce you to the collections, service and facilities available in the Library, and the electronic databases for legal research that you will need for your law studies. It includes
An introduction to the extensive law collections in the Library How to search the Library Catalogue Finding what you need in the Library How to access the wide range of law databases for legal research
(including remote access) How to print, copy, scan, borrow books and connect to the Wi-Fi How to find journal articles using print and electronic resources Where to get help and further legal research training

Registration with the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies Library
Friday 22nd September 2017Members of staff of the Library of the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies will be available for registration, information and advice. We are located on the corner of Russell Square and Bedford Way. Please bring your college library card or proof of registration and the IALS blue form if you have it. The IALS blue admission form is available from your college of registration or from the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies on library registration day.
Time: 10.00am. – 3.00pm.Place: Café Lex, Institute of Advanced Legal StudiesTours: There will also be tours of the Library at frequent intervals from 10.15am to 3.00pm.
In addition Library tours will be held in the weeks following the Library registration day.
Please try and register with the Library on this day but if you will not be in London you will be able to register later.
