Nautilus in a Jar What if you went to a Steampunk expo, and what if you saw the Nautilus art car inspired by 20,000 Leagues Under

the Sea, and what if that art car really could go in the water,

and what if its mad inventor placed it in a jar, and what if that jar

was filled with octopuses and jellyfish as a steampunk experiment,

and what if they all were on the way to Burning Man...?

    City Spirit III

  • I have been dabbling with allforms of art and photography

    for many years, always taking

pics of the ground or rust etc.

unsure of what I would ever do

with the pics. I then started

doing wildlife paintings mainlydoing wildlife paintings mainly

with pastels or acrylic , this lead

me to travel in pursuit of that

    perfect picture I could bring

home and recreate, all that has

taken a back seat since finding

    Photoshop Artistry as this allows

me to combine my photos intome to combine my photos into

    an altogether totally different

    piece of Art.

Throughout my working life,I dabbled in photography and at times took it very

seriously as a hobbyist. Now, in retirement I have

been able to completely immerse myself in my work

    ...basically living the artistic dream.

  • I wanted to express the grace and perfectionof these beautiful horses and the harmony that

exists between them and their riders. The

title is ironic because the horses are far

    too disciplined to be rebels!

For this piece I started with the model and a background. In my head I had a story that had been brewing since last

month. I wanted to tell a story with my artwork and

didn't know how to write it down in words. So I just started

with a feeling of being behind walls and then the piece spoke

to me and I heard "being vulnerable", so I worked with that.
