Seven Criteria for Living Feeding/Eating- to obtain energy Movement-internal and/or external Breathing or Respiration-exchange gases with the
environment Growth and Development-Living things become larger
and/or more complicated as they grow. Sensitivity -Living things react to changes around
them. Reproduction- All living things produce young. Excretion -All living things need to remove waste from
their bodies.
Some nonliving things may show one or two of these criteria but living things will show all seven.
