RECOGNIZE HIM?

The great news of the

Resurrection of Christ continues today, because it is

not a commemoration of something that happened

long ago, but it is an actual fact. CHRIST LIVES! And

his resurrection gives meaning to our lives. Yes, He

conquered death, which means, that with Him, we

can overcome any obstacle and/or any limitation or

problem.

The Resurrection of Christ is not a legend, it

is a reality. He has risen and lives among us.

Although we do not recognize Him at first glance,

much like His disciples did not recognize Him. Mary

Magdalene mistook him for a gardener; Emmaus’

disciples walked with Him for 7 miles and even

invited Him to dinner, yet did not recognize Him

until He blessed the bread. Later, on Lake of Tiberias,

the Apostles see Him from the boat. He was on the

shore cooking some fish. They ate with Him, but no

one dares to ask who He was, for they all knew, it

was the Lord.

Christ wants to be recognized in each person

surrounding us and wants to be loved in every one

of our brothers. Probably the person you least

expect: your spouse, your children, parents, siblings

or peers. As the song says:

He is with you, yet you don’t recognize Him He is

with you : His name is the Lord.

His is the Lord and He is hungry

He cries out for those that go hungry,

Many who see Him pass on by,

Perhaps to arrive at the temple early.

He is the Lord and bears thirst

He is with those who seek justice,

Many who see Him pass on by,

Sometimes busy with their prayers.

He is the Lord and He is naked

The absence of love chills His bones,

Many who see Him pass on by

Safe, with the warmth of their money.

La gran noticia de la

Resurrección de Cristo sigue teniendo hoy en día,

porque no es una conmemoración de algo que pasó

hace mucho, sino que es un hecho actual. ¡CRISTO

VIVE! Y su resurrección da sentido a nuestra vida. Si el

venció a la muerte, quiere decir que con El podemos

vencer todo obstáculo y superar toda limitación o

problema.

La Resurrección de Cristo no es una leyenda,

es una realidad. El resucitó y vive entre nosotros,

aunque no lo reconocemos a primera vista, al igual

que sus discípulos no lo reconocían. María Magdalena

lo confundió con un jardinero; los discípulos de

Emaús caminaron con El durante 11 kilómetros y

hasta lo invitaron a cenar y no lo reconocieron sino

hasta que bendijo el pan. Tiempo después, en el Lago

de Tiberiades, los Apóstoles lo ven desde la barca que

está en la orilla cocinando unos peces y comen con El

y nadie se atreve a preguntarle ¿Quién eres? Pues

todos sabían que era El Señor.

Cristo quiere ser reconocido vivo en cada

persona que nos rodea y quiere ser amado en cada

uno de nuestros hermanos. Probablemente en la

persona que menos esperas: tu cónyuge, tus hijos,

padres, hermanos o compañeros como dice el canto:

Con vosotros está y no le conocéis

Con vosotros está: su nombre es el Señor.

Su nombre es el Señor y pasa hambre

Y clama por la boca del hambriento,

Y muchos que lo ven pasan de largo,

Acaso por llegar temprano al templo.

Su nombre es el Señor y sed soporta

Y esta en quien de justicia esta sediento,

Y muchos que lo ven pasan de largo

A veces ocupados en sus rezos.

Su nombre es el Señor y esta desnudo

La ausencia del amor hiela sus huesos,

Y muchos que lo ven, pasan de largo

Seguros y al calor de su dinero

HE IS RISEN! ¡HA RESUCITADO!

Saludo Pascual Queridos fieles, La alegría de la Resurrección del Señor anuncia que nosotros somos un pueblo pascual que no ha perdido la esperanza. Confiamos en que el Señor vive en nuestro mundo atribulado y en el fondo de nuestros corazones. No importa cuanta oscuridad nos rodee, sabemos que la luz de Cristo penetra a través de ella. Sabemos que el mundo puede ser diferente gracias a la victoria de Cristo sobre la muerte y el sufrimiento, en la gloria de la resurrección. La Pascua nos inspira y fortalece para que, juntos, podamos vivir en paz y reconciliados mutuamente. La Pascua nos llama a una justicia que nace de la conversión a Dios y del caminar humildemente en sus mandamientos. The joy of the Lord’s resurrection announces that we are an Easter people who have not lost hope. We trust that God lives in our broken world as well as deep within each of us. No matter what darkness surrounds us, we know that the light of Christ shines through it all. We know that the world can be different because Jesus Christ overcame death and suffering in the glory of resurrection. Easter inspires and strengthens us to live together in peace and be reconciled to one another. Easter calls us to a justice born of returning to God and walking humbly in God’s ways. THE JOY OF EASTER -

There are 40 rejoicing days because Christ defeated

death. With Him we can overcome every obstacle,

difficulty, vice or sin. If during Lent we sacrifice

something to improve, do not fall back into the habit of

sin. Let us be free and happy with Christ.
