Hypereosinophilic syndrome is characterized by per-ipheral eosinophilia, end-organ involvement andexclusion of other causes for eosinophilia. Liverinvolvement in hypereosinophlic syndromes are un-common and have mostly been reported to includeveno-occlusive disease, chronic active hepatitis withpiecemeal necrosis and cholestatic liver disease. Dis-crete liver mass or masses are exceedingly rare and hasonly been reported in two other case reports. Wereport such a case of a 52-year-old woman withhypereosinophilic syndrome presenting in the form
of recurrent abdominal pain and liver masses. Biopsyof the liver masses showed marked eosinophlic infil-tration. There was complete resolution of the symp-toms and liver masses after treatment with prednisone.
