He was a big part of our fall show string where he was the Grand Champion Bull at the Lloydminster Stockade Round-up. It is no surprise that he has been a favorite, as his maternal brother was the same way two years ago where he sold at Agribition to Lockhart Valley Simmentals. Swagger is a “Richie” son with extra pigment, shape and outstanding performance. His weaning performance was ranked first and yearling performance third within our herd. He is a loose hided, soft made, stout calf with a great hair coat. And to say that he is quiet would be an understatement, as he is one of the easiest going calves we have sold.

• Wow, this is quite a calf and cer-tainly is one of our features. Zam is our second youngest bull with our highest Yearling weight performance. Zam’s maternal brother was our lead off bull in last year’s sale selling to Hoegl Livestock. . Our 56S females have good udders with short well placed teets and they are tremendous producers. 56S cows have raised the high selling lot at the 2014 Agribition Sale, the 2014 Next Generation Bull sale and the second high selling lot at 2012 Agribition Sale.

Baxter had a rough start as his recipient mother died when he was two weeks old and he was bottle fed for several weeks until we found him a new mother. Baxter has matured into a smooth, big volume herdsire prospect with outstanding performance for a calv-ing ease bull. Co-lossal semen is in limited supply and hard to find thus we are cautious to use it only on our top end cows. 90B has been one of our favorites from a very young age. He is one of our smaller framed bulls but he surprises us each time that we run him across the weigh scale. In fact 90B had our second highest weaning weight performance.

• Polled• Royal Flush and his dam were selected to be our cow/calf pair for our show string this year however we were not able to commit the time required to halter break an aged cow. 455W is an easy doing, big capacity cow with an ideal udder that is at the top end of our cow herd. She produced 3 females prior to Royal Flush and all three have been retained in our herd. Poker Face made a significant mark in the industry at the Friday Night Lights Sale by siring 6 full sibling heifers that sold for an average of over $15,000.

His dam LWC Miss Appollo 42Y was Clayton’s 4-H cow, she is very sound has a good udder and a great temper-ament. She is a moderate sized cow; her first calf is an Alta’s Lore 128X bred heifer, is one of our top heifers calving this spring. LWC ALTA’S LORE 39B is sired by ANCHOR D ALTA’S LORE 128X. We are starting to see the impact of 128X in our bull and heifer pens. He calves very well, he has as good of temperament as we have used, and his calves are showing very good performance. 128X has just bred Ted’s FB fall calving cows. LWC MISS ROOTS 18T is a moderate balanced cow from C&D Roots, then back to Jahari; we have a lot of these Roots and Jahari cows in our herd. Expect very consistent birth weights from 39B; ALTA’s LORE and ROOTS calve very well for us.

LWC HEMI 902A is a dark goggled eyed son of NGDB HEMI 15W. He has a full brother working for Marie Farms at Islay. His mother is Shawacres Jahari 50L out of Diamond J Universe 93K, so 110S is a full sib to our LWC Jahari 24P herdsire that McFadyen’s and ourselves used for many years. Our 24P cows are some of our most consistent cows. We like the bloodlines in this 902A bull; he should have birth weight consistency with performance and maternal strength.

LWC HEMI 901A is sired by NGDB HEMI 15W. We have 6 Hemi bulls in the sale; these ½ and ¾ brothers are very similar in type; moderate in size with good hair coats. Ted used 15W for a few years; he calves so steady, the birth weights are very consistent. We have 15W daughters producing, they are the size we like and have compact well placed udders. LWC MISS RANGER 768W is a dark red goggle eyed cow. Hoegl Livestock purchased a full brother to 901A in the 2013 Source Sale.


LWC HEMI 916A has a good hair coat, goggles and sired by NGDB HEMI 15W. He’s from a Rio Grande, Arnie 5C cow family. LWC Miss Rio Grande 738T has a lot of volume, good udder and is a very consistent producer. A full sister to 916A sold in the 2013 Source Sale to Red Willow Ranch.

He is a 7/8 brother to LWC 930A; both these bulls are Ridgeline, Rio Grande back to Credit 6H. LWC Miss Rio Grande 700T had a Hemi son in the last years Next Genera-tion sale, selling to Keagen Scorgie at Beaverlodge. These Rio Grande cows are some of the top producing cows in our herd, they often have the top weaning weights. LWC HEMI 917A is sired by NGDB HEMI 15W, the herdsire we purchased from Hoegl Livestock; he has been one of our top herd bulls for several years. LWC Miss Jahari 702S is a Shawacres Jahari 50L X LWC Credit 6H cow, Ted has had good results from these 50L/6H cows. LWC 917A had a full sister go to Kuntz Simmental Farm at Battleford in the 2013 Source Sale. 917A has big goggles, like his sire and dam; good hair, is sound, he should develop well.


LWC RIDGELINE 930A is the polled 7/8 brother to LWC Ridgeline 929A. These bulls are sound, moderate in size, with thickness and natural muscling. We feel they will sire great replacement females, as the maternal genetics are strong on both sides of their pedi-grees. We also feel they should produce a consistent group of steers.

LWC HEMI 910A is out of MS BGS KANA 12K; a cow that produced as many herdsires as any cow we have ever owned. She was purchased from Black Gold Simmentals. This will be her 7th bull sold, all raised by her naturally, she was never flushed. LWC 910A has a good hair coat, good temperament, good performance and should be bred for consistency and longevity.

LWC RIDGELINE 904A is sired by MECK RIDGELINE 322Y. He’s smooth made, solid red bull; typical with 322Y progeny. We have really used MECK RIDGELINE 322Y hard the last couple years; Ted has ran him for his September born calves, and he has bred very well in our main herd. We will use 322Y and 2 of his sons this spring at our farm. 904A is backed by a strong cow family, LRX Ranger 8S, a sire McFadyen’s and us purchased from Robb Farms, then back to Credit 6H and Alpha, bulls our herd was built around years back.


LWC HEMI 907A is a dark goggled eyed son of NGDB HEMI 15W, our herdsire that calved as steady as any bull we ever used. Ted used 15W for 3 consecutive years, calving ease was one the main reasons. LWC MISS JAHARI 25S has been a good producer for us; a full brother to 907A is working for Kelly Battrum at Sibbald; one of our lead bulls in 2012. A full sister sold in the 2013 Source Sale to Robb Farms at Maidstone. Ted has raised several of these Hemi X Jahari bulls; with consistent steady results.

Incredible hip, big top, and as long as a freight train. These are a few of the first thoughts that come to mind when you analyze this bull. 7B is a calf that has had ‘the look’ to him starting at a very young age. He is a power bull that weaned off at 1030 lbs in September, has achieved a WPDA of 4.15 lbs, and has always been the heavy weight of the bull pen. With great pigmentation pattern that is typical of all the Standout progeny, he should follow in his sire’s footsteps - siring predictable, solid marked calves. Standsa-lone is mothered by a beautiful Houston daughter who possesses a perfect udder. Wow! Where to begin with this bull. Dark cherry red, full of meat and muscle with loads of hair and style to burn, 16B was a calf that impressed anyone who saw him beginning at a very young age. If we were to pick a bull that would best resemble his sire, Westgold Standout, 16B would be it. He is mothered by a hard working fe-male whom we purchased from Little Willow Creek Ranch. 233x is a nice uddered, moderate female that brings in a good calf year after year. She is bred back the same way and due to calve any day. We are quite excited, she produced a maternal brother that sold to Carlton Land and Cattle last year in our 2014 bull sale. 16B pos-sesses ample testicular development and a big hoof. 17B is best described as a very loose made, deep flanked, deep ribbed, and long bodied bull. He has big wrap around goggles and a nice hair coat. His Appollo dam has a great ud-der and a temperament second to none - which she has passed onto 17B. He will sire calves that will tip the scale as he was our 2nd heaviest bull, weaning off at 1005 lbs. Standoff will produce powerful bull calves and females that will be top of the pen. 58B is a Standout son with that typical thick hip, huge top and great hair coat. A bit of a larger framed bull that still retains ample depth of rib and flank. 62B is a smooth polled son of Westgold Standout. He is a very useful type of bull - heavy haired, and dark cherry red. He would work great on a set of red or black Angus cows. He will knock horns off and throw that great blaze faced calf. 62B is a versatile bull who we feel would work great in a variety of different herds. Standtall won’t be hard to find on sale day. His calves are patterned so well and always possess lots of pigmen-tation. 47B is a very thick butted, strong topped bull that also has an awesome hair coat. His dam 69y is a very tight uddered female that sure can milk. He gets out and travels on his feet and should get the job done at breeding. RWR Standard 75B is a bull that, even though a little younger, has really impressed us. He has a ton of pigment and is almost a blaze face. He is very dark red and has a good top in him. 75B is out of a very, very good Houston daughter that came from the remarkable LaBatte program. If I was to pick a favourite cow out of our herd, I believe she would be a top runner. 47p is just a plain good female who looks great all year. Don’t overlook 75B because of his age. 25B is a dark red, hairy, well balanced type of bull. He has big goggles and is red right to the hoof. This bull is a good, soggy bull. He has just an awesome hair coat and is quite a chunk. Hotpoint 65B comes from a great cow - a Houston daughter, 54r. She produced one of our favourite bulls last year that sold to Levi Bristow. She has just recently calved and gave us a fantastic heifer calf sire by Standout. There won’t be much guess work on this bull as he should get out and work for his new owner. 65B should calve well as he has a smooth build and was born unassisted at 101 lbs.

The heifers were all born in late April and May and will have enough frame and condition to breed for early calving or keep them in a later calving program; they will work well in both. We take pride in our commercial cows and have been building this closed herd for many years. They will be sold in groups of five.
