It was 7 days before Christmas and Little Robin

was very excited.

He washed seven warm vests

for the cold days.

Seven days before Christmas,

Little Robin put on his white vest and he went out to

skate.

On the way, Little Robin met Frog.

“- I’m so cold! Can you help me?” said Frog.

Little Robin gave Frog his white vest.

“- I’ve got six vests left” said Little Robin.

And Frog waved goodbye happily.

Six days before Christmas, Little Robin put on his green vest and he went out to play

in the snow.

On the way, Little Robin met Hedgehog.

“- I’m so cold! Can you help me?” said Hedgehog.

Little Robin gave Hedgehog his green vest.

“- I’ve got five vests left” said Little Robin.

And Hedgehog waved goodbye happily.

Five days before Christmas, Little Robin put on his pink

vest and he went out to look for worms.

On the way, Little Robin met Mole.

“- I’m so cold! Can you help me?” said Mole.

Little Robin gave Mole his pink vest.

“- I’ve got four vests left” said Little Robin.

And Mole waved goodbye happily.

Four days before Christmas, Little Robin put on his yellow vest and he went out to fly.

On the way, Little Robin met Squirrel.

“- I’m so cold! Can you help me?” said Squirrel.

Little Robin gave Squirrelhis yellow vest.

“- I’ve got three vests left” said Little Robin.

And Squirrel waved goodbye happily.

Three days before Christmas, Little Robin put on his blue vest and he went out to the

hills.

On the way, Little Robin met Rabbit.

“- I’m so cold! Can you help me?” said Rabbit.

Little Robin gave Rabbithis blue vest.

“- I’ve got two vests left” said Little Robin.

And Rabbit waved goodbye happily.

Two days before Christmas, Little Robin put on his purple vest and he went out to the

river.

On the way, Little Robin met Otter with her baby.

“- I’m so cold! Can you help me?” said Otter.

Little Robin gave Otterhis purple vest.

“- I’ve got one vest left” said Little Robin.

And Otter waved goodbye happily.

On the day before Christmas, Little Robin put on his orange vest and he went out to walk.

On the way, Little Robin met Mouse.

“- I’m so cold! Can you help me?” said Mouse.

Little Robin gave Mousehis orange vest.

“- I’ve got no more vests left,

but it is Ok” said Little Robin.

And Mouse waved goodbye happily.

On Christmas Eve, it was snowing and poor Little

Robin had no more vests.

“- I’m so cold!” said Little Robin.

Suddenly, two big hands scooped Little Robin up and tucked him into a soft white

beard.

“- Come with me!” said a voice.

“- This is a generous little robin!”

said the man.

“- We must give him a very special present!”

said the woman.

The woman started to work...

From a big red coat she knitted a very tiny red

vest.

“- You are a very special little bird! You gave all your vests

to Frog, Hedgehog, Mole, Squirrel, Rabbit, Otter and

Mouse.”said the woman.

“- You are full of the spirit of Christmas. It’s time for your

present.”

The woman gave Little Robin a very special tiny red vest.

“- You are not going to be cold anymore!”

said Santa Claus.

And Little Robin waved goodbye happily.

Soon Little Robin was home and he was very happy.

“- Merry Christmas!Goodbye, and thank you!” said Little Robin to Santa

Claus.

It was Christmas Day and Little Robin flew to the highest

branch of a tree wearing his new red vest.And he decided to sing to

wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

This is the reason why this little bird called robin

is always wearing a red vest.
