Description of the application
An aeration pipe for a clarifying tank had to be renewed. Inside the old pipe (Ø
1000 mm) a new pipe with a smaller internal diameter (930 mm) was installed.
In order to stabilize the new pipe, and keep it centralized and protected within the
older outer pipe, the annulus space between both pipes has to be cemented.
While cementing the space, the new pipe was filled with water. The cementing
material for the gap between both pipes has to have therefore a density lower
than 1,0 kg/l.
The longest individual segment cemented was 40 meters. The total length of pipe
that required cementing was 220 meters.
