It can also be a time for interaction, learning, and a break in the school day. When kids get excited about a story, they want to ask questions, share ideas, or examine the pictures closely. Students of all ages are hungry for facts, knowledge, and fantasy, which may open dialogue in the classroom. This can be even more fun than pursuing digital literacy or perusing the web! Reading aloud to children builds their vocabulary, their background knowledge, and their understanding of literature components such as plot and character; it also lets them experience much more sophisticated language and content than they could tackle on their own, all without fear or anxiety. It introduces the language of books, which differs from language heard in daily conversation and in the media, thereby increasing their fluency and understanding of language as a whole. As they hear you read a book, they are learning how to recognize the intent of the author, which will make reading their next book more interesting and enjoyable.
