Instruments and Quantity

INLET MAINS

1 Liquid Flow meters 2 Numbers. 1 number on each of the 700 mm and 300 mm line

OR Alternately both can combine and provide a common flow meter on the common lineOR Ultrasonic measurements on common channel after the GRIT removal system

2 FINE SCREENS

Levels Control

Screens are accompanied by various instruments that control the system. Typically level measuring devices

upstream and down stream are required to measure the differential head to trigger the operation

3 GRIT REMOVAL SYSTEM

2- nos Motorized valves on air line to air lift Pumps

4 Balancing Tank a) Level Transmitter ( Ultrasonic) -Level measurements

b) LSH ( High - High ) and LSL (Low Low ) back up level switches

c) 2 numbers Airflow regulating Valves on individual air lines to Balancing tanks

d) 1 number discharge pressure transmitter on each blower discharge line ( total 6 if separate blowers are used for Balancing tank and Sludge Holding tank, OR

total 3 if common blowers are used for both applications)

e) If common blower is used for Grit Airlift ,Balancing Tank, Sludge holding tank then

a flow meter with a modulating valve required on airline to Sludge Holding tank

f) 6- Pressure gauges on discharge lines of pumps ( 1 per set of Duty, stand by Pumps)

5 Anoxic Tanks a) Level measurement High and low

6 Aeration Tanks a) 6 - Modulating inlet control valve on air line ( 1per tank)

b) 6 - DO meters (1 per Tank). This will control air flow from blowers

c) 6- Low level switch - 1 per tank

7 MBR tanks

Air Control

a) 6- Modulating inlet control valve on air line ( 1 per tank)b) 6 - Air flow meters to measure flow to each MBR

c) 6- Level transmitters - Ultrasonic - 1 per tank

d) 12- On off valves ( 2 per tank to release air if required)

e) 6- Air flow meters (1 per tank)

Permeate Control

a) 6- Level transmitters - Ultrasonic - 1 per tank

b) 12- Permeate Discharge pressure transmitters ( 1 upper deck, 1 lower deck per tank)

c) 12- Magnetic Flow meters - ( 1 upper deck discharge, 1 lower deck discharge per tank)

d) 12- Modulating Valves - to control flow ( 1 upper deck discharge, 1 lower deck discharge per tank)

Sludge Control

a) 6- Pressure gauges on discharge lines of Anoxic recycle pumps ( 1 per set of Duty, stand by Pumps)

b) 6- Magnetic Flow meters on common discharge line of each set Anoxic recycle pumps

c) 6- Modulating valves on the above discharge linesd) 6- Automated Valves
