LINDEMANN MPS 890 is a mineral based stern tube paste which can be used on its own as stern tube grease or as an additive used at a rate of 5% of stern tube oil volume as wear protection and sealant additive.

LINDEMANN MPS 890 is a very complex paste offering supreme lubricating qualities. In addition LINDEMANN MPS 890 offers extreme corrosion protection.

LINDEMANN MPS 890 provides exceptional wear protection. It also builds a “dynamic” seal supporting stressed seals both in motion and at rest, ensuring that sea water stays out and that stern tube oil stays in.

LINDEMANN MPS 890 must be pumped directly into the stern tube via the drain pipe. If no drain pipe is available, the product should be pumped into the stern tube via the feed line going from the level tank to the stern tube.

This effect takes place no matter the given choice of materials in the stern tube, bearings and seals e.g. metals, asbestos or plastics. When in operation, the paste assists the polishing of the contact surfaces in the seals to a very high standard. At the same time it provides imbedding of teflon in the contact/sealing surface itself repairing minor damages. As the paste has a specific gravity of 1,1 to 1,2, the pressure from the header tank assists it in automatically seeking an eventual leakage and giving good sealing efficiency.

LINDEMANN MPS 890 is not affected by most chemicals, solvents and corrosive agents. LINDEMANN MPS 890 does not dry out or harden with age.

LINDEMANN MPS 890 will blend with most types of stern tube oil.

TYPICAL APPLICATION AREASLINDEMANN MPS 890 is specifically developed for efficient maintenance of stern tube bearings and seals. If stern tube seals shows oil loss of a more extensive nature, it is recommended to use LINDEMANN MPS 895 for face type seals and MPS 896 for lip type seals which in addition to the above capacities contains an additive that revitalizes the seals giving them back their flexibility thus the ability to keep oil and sea water separated.

LINDEMANN MPS 895 has been developed specifically for leaking stern tubes with face type seals. It can be used as stern tube paste on its own or, if added at a rate of 10% of stern tube oil volume, as an additive enhancing wear protecting properties as well as sealing ability in both inner and outer seals.

LINDEMANN MPS 895 is a very complex mineral based paste providing extreme corrosion protection. LINDEMANN MPS 895 is an excellent stern tube grease due to its active components that reduce the friction and hence the wear in bearings and propeller shaft/face sealing discs. Also it builds a “dynamic” seal supporting damaged and worn seals both in motion and at rest. In addition LINDEMANN MPS 895 contains a very high amount of Teflon, which due to friction will embed the wear surfaces during operation, repairing minor defects in the contact surfaces between shaft and seal. This will prolong the life time of the sealing components. LINDEMANN MPS 895 will work equally well with most materials e.g. bronze, stainless steel, chrome or brass and rubber, asbestos and plastics.

LINDEMANN MP 895 will not dry out or harden with age.

LINDEMANN MPS 895 must be pumped directly into the stern tube via the drain pipe. If no drain pipe is available, the product should be pumped into the stern tube via the feed line going from the level tank to the stern tube.

In addition to high concentration of PTFE, MPS 896 Special Mix contains another additive, which gives the paste different structure and makes it cling to the rotating shaft with a firm grip.

The „firm grip“ on the shaft ensures that the higher level of PTFE is interlocked right in front of any given slip between the seal and the shaft, offering a tougher sealing effect that will withstand greater forces from the sea.The paste’s seal revitalizing additive preserves or restores flexibility of the rubber seals without swelling.

MPS 896 Special Mix will work equally well with most materials e.g. bronze, chrome, stainless steel or brass and rubber, asbestos and plastics.

MPS 898 is an opaque, 100 % synthetic grease whose performance sets new standards for lubrication. MPS 898 works equally wellin the temperatures from -40 ° C to +400 ° C.

MPS 898 does not melt or drip, is extremely rigid and will not change its shape. It provides corrosion protection, seals bearings fromwater and contamination, and retains its structure and form, which remains stable under high shear. It will not emulsify and willperform exceptionally well in salt water conditions.

Regular use of LINDEMANN DPM provides the greatest protection and minimum wear for all diesel engines.LINDEMANN DPM is developed specifically for larger diesel engines.

LINDEMANN DPM-SL (STOP LEAK) is developed to solve oil consumption problems in the larger marine diesel engines in a good condition.LINDEMANN DPM-SL, when added to conventional lubricants will considerably reduce oil leakage and offer the highest degree of protection for all forms of marine diesel engines. DPM-SL revitalies the elasticity and sealing capacity of gaskets and oil seals.

L-DPM contains microscopic particles of Teflon (PTFE), which has a very low friction.The combination of specially treated Teflon particles and other anti-wear, anti-friction and anti-oxidation additives in L-DPM provides better fuel economy, higher performance and minimum wear - even at high speeds and high loads.

If L-DPM is added to traditional lubricants added regularly, all types of diesel-powered machinery maximize protection L-DPM increases the lubricating properties of oil and is fully compatible with all engine oils, corresponding to international CC, CD and CF specifications.

L-DPM can be used with filters with filter pores of 5 microns and bigger. L-DPM’s excellent lubricating properties help improve and maintain the lubricating properties of the engine oil. The regular use of L-DPM reduces the amount of wear particles (metal) in the oil.

L- DPM lubricates and protects the engine at temperatures far above what normal oil can resist, which is important especially for turbocharged engines.

L- DPM can be used at temperatures from -30 °C. to +250 °C.

APPLICATION RATES1 liter LINDEMANN DPM is sufficient for 32 liters of engine oil. DIRECTIONS FOR USEChange oil and oil filters and let the engine run till it is warm. Turn the engine off. Shake the bottle with L-DPM very thoroughly and add the additive to the oil. Start the engine again and let it run for minimum 15 minutes. Repeat the treatment at every oil change.

New or fully refurnished engines must run 50 hours before they can be treated with L-DPM.

LINDEMANN HYD is the result of long going scientific studies into lubrication and protection of hydraulic systems. Our studies have unveiled that reducing wear and leaks in these systems is definitely necessary for reasons of safety. Normal hydraulic oils are in many ways ordinary base oil, which do not have the same bearing capacity as LINDEMANN HYD additives.

LINDEMANN HYD consists of microscopic Teflon (PTFE) and anti-wear, anti-foam, anti-oxidation and anti- corrosion additives. All these components are mixed together with high quality carrier oil, which correspond to the tough Abex Dennison HFO/HF2 performance specifications and to Sperry Vickers “Hydraulic Vane Pump” test on wear.

LINDEMANN Blue-G grease is a superior multi-purpose grease excellent lubrication characteristic for a wide range of anti-friction and plain bearings, gears and couplings in automotive, marine, agricultural and industrial applications.

The extreme pressure and anti-wear properties enables LINDEMANN Blue-G grease to provide long service life under high shock and load conditions from low temperature to very high temperature environments. These special shear stable qualities, combined with the inclusion of rust, oxidation and corrosion inhibitors ensure LINDEMANN Blue-G grease is the preferred recommendation for “sealed for life” anti-friction bearings.

Additionally LINDEMANN Blue-G grease contains Teflon (polytetra-fluoroethylene) which offers residual lubrication under the most arduous of conditions as well as enhancing the extreme pressure characteristics of the grease.

BENEFITS & PROPERTIESFunctional multi-purpose grease for low and high temperatures. LINDEMANN Blue-G has a continuos temperature operating range of –40 to +260° C.

Please note that LINDEMANN Blue-G grease provides lubricating protection even for intermittent operation up to 260° C. This feature is unique in that normal “no melt” greases offer reduced lubrication efficiency in this temperature range.

LINDEMANN Blue-G has excellent shear stability which is critical, especially for the protection of sliding surfaces.

Have assured long service life due to the exceptional oxidation rust and corrosion resistance of LINDEMANN Blue-G grease. With exten-ded service, LINDEMANN Blue-G grease maintains its original con-sistency. It will not thicken as it resists oxidation and it will not thin out as it is shear stable.

Where water contamination or water washout contaminating influ-ences cannot be avoided, even at elevated temperatures, effective lubrication is maintained because of the excellent resistance of LIN-DEMANN Blue-G to water washout. In this situations LINDEMANN Blue-G also gives rust and corrosion protection.

LINDEMANN Blue-G grease is compatible with most grease except particularly those gelled with bentone and aluminium complex thickeners. Where these greases have been used it is necessary to remove all traces of the offending grease prior to using LINDE-MANN Blue-G.

LINDEMANN Red-G is a blend of Teflon (fluorocarbon particles) in a specially prepared Lithium based water repellent grease, compatible with most existing lubricant. LINDEMANN Red-G can be used in almost any greasing application to improve lubrication and reduce temperature and wear.

BENEFITS & PROPERTIESLINDEMANN Red-G keeps the water and dust out while a plating of Teflon is applied to the mating surfaces under working conditions. Seal performance is improved and operating temperature reduced, resulting in less grease “throw”.

LINDEMANN Red-G is applicable to the majority of situations speci-fying grease lubrication, especially suitable for use where high pres-sure, water and salt water conditions are present.

LINDEMANN Red-G has a continuous temperature operating range of -35° C. – +140° C.

LINDEMANN Red-G provides a residual lubrication which is added insurance, combined with savings through less wear and down-ti-me, making it an economical benefit. Smoother running, increased efficiency and prolonged machinery life, less labour and less volume of lubricant, all indicate higher profits.

Where LINDEMANN Red-G has been used on a continuous basis, seizing, pitting will not occur on the friction surfaces.
