LindabRevitTools 2012.1 Example Instructions 1. Download the Example.zip archive and unzip the files to a desired location. The archive contains 4 files: - Example.rvt - ExteriorWallLibraries.xml - InteriorWallLibraries.xml - WallLayerDefinitions.xml 2. Start up Revit and open the Example.rvt file. 3. Activate the LindabRevitTools extension and run the Project Parameters tool. 4. Select the browse button next to the Exterior wall libraries file path and select the ExteriorWallLibraries.xml file. 5. Select the browse button next to the Interior wall libraries file path and select the InteriorWallLibraries.xml file. 6. Select the browse button next to the Wall layer definitions file path and select the WallLayerDefinitions.xml file. 7. Click the Save and Close button. 8. Save the Example.rvt file with the new file path settings. 9. Finished! The purpose of this example is to show a simple building that is design with the LindabRevitTools extension. All the different tools in the extension are used in this example and it can be of great help when reading the manual. It was also the base for the LindabRevitTools 2012.1 manual. This example makes is possible to view the framing in detail, the sheets, the wall section schedule and much more. The material lists for light gauge steel profiles and wall layer materials can be viewed using the specification tools available. The garage building is left half-finished and is perfect for user tests.
