Forward Vinni Lettieri (‘11-’13) has made quite the stir this season with the Hartford Wolf Pack, and for that he was called- up to the New York Rangers to make his NHL debut on December 29 in Detroit. In his first career game, the Minnesota native scored his first NHL goal to put the Rangers up 2-1 despite falling in a shootout. e 22-year-old will remain with the club while the Rangers push through injuries. Lettieri led the Wolf Pack in goals, scoring 12 times in 31 games along with nine assists for 21 points. World Junior Update... Both Stars alumni in the 2018 World Junior Championship in Buffalo, N.Y. are still competing when the semifinal round continues today. As of January 4, forward Ryan Poehling (‘15-’16) of Team U.S.A. and goaltender Josef Korenar (‘16-’17) of the Czech Republic will play on opposite sides of the bracket for a chance to medal. Poehling has two assists through five games played, and Korenar has dazzled with a 2.90 goals-against average and .922 save percentage, and his saves ranks second in the tournament.
