I. Active Directory Support (using LDAP):LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) is an application that enables your office hardware to access directory information stored on a company server. This includes the ability to search company email addresses and fax numbers, as well as administer device access rights to individuals.

The HL-L9200CDWT and MFC-L9550CDW support two levels of Active Directory using LDAP:1) Email Lookup (MFC-L9550CDW only)

• Allows all addresses to be stored on a secure central server, instead of users having to input addresses manually or storing data on individual devices.

• System administrators only need to manage the information stored on the server, which is then accessible to each individual device.

2) User Authentication• Panel Lock: Locks the device’s control panel until a user enters their User ID and

Password, which authenticates their user rights from the network and either allows or denies access to the machine.

• Sender Identification: When using Scan to E-mail Server★, emails will show the logged in user as the sender as opposed to the machine, enabling sent emails to be tracked by the mail server (MFC-L9550CDW only).

BSI integration also enables support for third-party solutions such as PaperCut™ MF. PaperCut™ MF is a simple, low-cost application that lets administrators take control and manage all of their Brother devices’ user activity against their system accounts. PaperCut™ MF can help organizations reduce costs and increase responsible device use by offering:

• Ability to bill or charge back different departments within your organization for every copy, print, scan and fax.

• More than 50 user and shared account copy, print, fax and scan reports out of the box, as well as the ability to create reports with custom data by specifying date ranges, filtering and sorting by the data available. Access reports from any web browser, or schedule them to be automatically generated and emailed.

• A Find-Me printing feature, in which users queue print jobs to a virtual queue, and then release them for printing on any PaperCut™ supported MFP or printer. Secure Print Release requires user authentication via NFC card (MFC-L9550CDW only) or passcode to release documents, protecting confidential documents and reducing the volume of unclaimed printouts.
