Materials: With the mentioned yarn and hook size the finished doll is approximately 20 cm tall. The yarn and hook size listed are simply examples/suggestions. Feel free to use whichever type of yarn or hook size You wish. • Yarn, ex. B. Schachenmayr Catania in multiple desired colors, and a skin tone (ex.

B. 263 - softapricot) • Crochet hooks in suitable sizes (for me 2.0 mm, 2.5 mm, 3.0 mm and 3.5 mm) • Twine • 4 Buttons (for me 3cm) • 3 Small buttons (for me1cm) • optional: floral wire (if doll is for a small child, omit) • optional: a piece of strong cardboard

Please keep in mind that different yarn may result in a bigger or smaller piece. Make sure to adjust your hook size according to your yarn and personal tension.

Dress: Desired color A 3.5 mm hook Crochet in rows. At the end of each row, chain 1 and turn. 1. Chain 19, starting in 2nd chain from hook, sc 18, ch 1, turn (18) 2. (sc 2, inc) x6, ch 1, turn (24) 3. sc, inc, sc, chain 4 (skip 6 stitches), (sc, inc) x3, ch 4 (skip 6 stitches), sc, inc,

sc, ch 1, turn (25) 4. sc in each st, ch 1, turn (25) 5. sc 6, inc, sc 11, inc, sc 6, ch1, turn (27) 6.-7. (2 rows) sc in each st (27) 8. (sc 8, inc) x3, ch 1, turn (30) 9.-10. (2 rows) sc in each st (30) Change color if desired and join the round with a slip stitch (test whether the opening is big enough for your doll, if not, wait till the end of row 11 to join the bodice with a slst). Attach your yarn at the top of your dress, in the last stitch of your first row and make a chain long enough to make a loop that will serve as the buttonhole, slst into that same stitch to close.

With new color (color B) chain 3. You will work in joined rounds now and chain 3 at the beginning of each round. The chain 3 does NOT count as a stitch. 11.dc inc in every st (60) 12.-14. Shoes (2x): With color A and/or B 2.0 mm hook Can be worked in ether continuous or joined rounds (join each round with a slst and chain 1). I chose to do joined rounds because it makes them more even. You will start with an oval (see the diagram) 1. Chain 6, in 2nd chain from hook sc 2, sc in the

next 3 chains, sc 4 in the last chain, working on the other side of the chains: sc in the next 3 chains, inc in the last chain (14)

(2 rounds) sc in each st (6) Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing. With yarn needle sew the arms close and attach to the sides of the body right underneath the head. Cap: Clothing color 2.5 mm hook (half a size bigger than the hook used for the body) Work in continuous rounds. 1. MR with 6 sc (6) 2. inc x6 (12) 3. (sc, inc) x6 (18) 4. (sc 5, inc) x6 (21) 5.-8. (4 rounds) sc in each st (21) Fasten off leaving a long tail. With a yarn needle, sew to the baby dolls head. Embroider the baby dolls face with black thread.

Stroller

Bottom: Twine (necessary for stability, which is not provided sufficiently with yarn) 2.5 mm hook Crochet in joined rounds. Each round starts with a ch1 and is closed/joined with a slst. We will make an oval like we did for the shoe. Size may need to be adjusted according to the size of the baby doll and the type of twine used. 1. Chain 7, sc in the 2nd chain from the hook, sc 4, sc 3 into the last ch, continue

(6 rows) sc in each st (18) Work a row of sc at the bottom of the piece to give it a more beautiful finish. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew the top piece to the bottom piece right underneath the crab stitch row. Carefully sew through each stitch, to secure the pieces together.

If You wish to, cut an oval piece of strong cardboard an place inside the stroller.

Using a yarn that is a bit thicker, You can crochet a „mattress“. Make an oval big enough to fit inside of the stroller.

Pillow: In desired colors, use same yarn as the doll 2.5 mm hook Crochet in rows. At hte and of each row chain 1 and turn. 1. Ch 9, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc 7 (8) 2.-12. (11 rows) sc in each st (8)

sc around the whole piece. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Fold in half and sew each stitch together. Stuff before completely sewing shut.

Make a blanket with the same process as the pillow. Work as many rows

needed for desired size. Sc around the whole piece to finish off.

For the stroller handle, I made a cord with twine. Here is a good tutorial for it: http://www.planetjune.com/blog/tutorials/basic-crochet-cord-video/

If desired (and the stroller is not for a small child to play with), You can add floral wire for added stabilization (it is a little fiddly, but works). The twine is relatively stable without it if You decide not to use it.

Sew the handle to the stroller. Lilly’s clothing, baby doll and stroller are now finished :o)
