As a Foundation we have had a big year in 2013. We established our scholarship program, selected our first scholar, Gaby Santoyo, pulled off our first Woody's Wiffle Ball Classic fundraiser, and made the exciting decision to launch Pitch In, a youth mentoring program! All of our work on behalf of Chicago's kids is possible because of you and your continued support. This holiday we want to thank you for believing in us and our mission. - Holiday Spirit for Warm Wishes 2013 -

Warm Wishes December 13, 2013Lawndale Elementary Community Academy

This year's Warm Wishes was absolutelyincredible. Thanks to our sponsors Walgreensand JP Morgan Chase we were able to providecoats and toys for over 490 Lawndale ElementaryCommunity Students. Some highlights of the dayincluded Chicago Children's Choir alumni whosang carols with students, Principal Willette'sexceptional emceeing throughout the day, and ofcourse the superb winter wonderland completewith a magical forest and giant snow globe! We also wanted to thank Chicago Athletic

Clubs for collecting much needed school supplies, Anderson's Books for providing each studentwith a book, Coyote Logistics who provided puzzles for each child, and many other donors forstepping up to the plate for Chicago's kids! Our Warm Wishes program is also made possible byour generous in-kind partners that include O-Hare Midway Limousine Service who wereincredible as "Santa's Sleigh", Aloha Document Services, Kenny Kim Photography, MediaHouse LLC, The Crossing, AGB Investigative Services, Protein Bar, and Roti MediterraneanGrill. A big shout out to LCA staff and faculty who worked closely with us to make this event a specialone for students. And as always, we would like to thank all of our dedicated volunteers for makingWarm Wishes a beautiful holiday celebration for all of LCA.
