• Path is lighted in order to lead the students/faculty/visitors to the main structure.
A Side View• The base is bright.• This represents old main
as the foundation for our school.
• The steps being lighted, guides the eye towards the main structure… this symbolizes the path a student takes until reaching the main goal: graduation, maturity, knowledge.
Main View• Front columns and ones part of the clock tower are lit from the sides.• Provides more depth to them. The building itself is dark as a backdrop to the columns. • Area over columns are lighted as well.• Sculpture in front of Old Main will have tiny light fixtures coming from the base up in order to light it and so it is visible from College Ave.
• Since it gives the impression of a moving glove, it represents many people, many races, coming together at PSU.
Approaching Old Main
• Main steps lighted from sides.• Provides a path to main structure that can be appreciated from far away.• Pedestrians will be less prone to accidents as well.• It builds up Old Main as the core of the school. Lighted from the bottom up.

from top of columns in front of them.
• Provides a clear view of murals and is main focus of hallway.
• Writing at end of hallway will also be lighted from the top.
