Lifeworx Examiner
Jess- Member of the Month
Jess has been a resident of Ashland for 15 years.
She loves traveling all over the place, loves being
different, and loves being fun! Life is short and she
is going to make the most of every minute of it.
Jessica started coming to Lifeworx about 3 months
ago feeling overwhelmed with depression and
uncertainty. In Lifeworx she’s found possibilities
and family, people who boss her good and she, in
turn, can boss well too! We ALL tow the line when
Jessica is here.
Jess teaches folks how to cook on a budget. Every week she sticks up a list of ingredients that will
be needed during her Yum Yum group. Members come on Thursday proudly carrying their donation
ready to begin. Soon smells of pasta, salads, creamy chicken enchiladas and soups are created by
Jessica and the members. Cheap, Healthy, Easy and delicious -are the criteria for Jessica’s group.
There’s no one who will willingly miss this great group.
Recently, Jess discovered she has cancer. Another challenge~ another reason to appreciate and be
thankful this Thanksgiving that there is good medical care available. Her Lifeworx family helps out
by giving her loving support, and a more positive attitude with which to face her challenges.
In closing, Jess would like everyone to know that she appreciates all the support people are giving
her. Final words from Jess:
Live it up, Baby! Wiggle Dance and Laugh. Life is a miracle,
People are amazing, and she is grateful to be a part of it all!
