Lifestyle Journeys was created out of a dream.

A dream to share with as many people as

possible, some of the most unique and life

changing, travel experiences ever.

Sharon Breslin, owner of Lifestyle Journeys

knew that her love of travel and creating

magical itineraries for her clients over 25

years would one day inevitably cross over with

her other love - ancient wisdom from around

the world and the metaphysical side of life.

In 2005 Sharon sold her agency within the

House of Travel Group to follow her dream

of setting up her own tour company,

Lifestyle Journeys. Based on a philosophy

of personal development, Sharon has

combined her executive experience with

her skills as an Interior Alignment Feng Shui

Master Teacher plus her experience in

intuitive healing to create a special travel

Camino de Santiago Trail - The French Way to Santiago

The Camino or the Way of St James as it

is also known, is the name given to the

numerous pilgrim routes established in the

Middle Ages that lead to the burial place

of Saint James in the Cathedral of Santiago

de Compostela.

This trail has great significance for the Pagan

people, the Celts who originally populated

the Iberian peninsula. Steeped in history and

mythology you will be amazed at the many

mega stone structures you will pass that are

aligned to the winter sun solstice in the

Galician region. Then came the Romans who

conquered much of the region stamping their

mark by way of architecture and their trading

routes. Finally came the christians and their

belief that our sins will be forgiven by walking

the pilgrim trail to Santiago De Compostela.

The Camino or the Way of St James as it

Legend has it that the stars of the Milky Way

were created by the dust kicked up by those

walking their Camino pilgrimage; your journey

will follow in the footsteps of these tens of

thousands of pilgrims who have walked this

path since the Middle Ages, and who

continue to do so today.

An authentic Spanish experience, the Celtic

Way to Santiago starts in a beautiful town

called Oviedo located in the Asturian region.

Over the course of the first week we traverse

the coastal route crossing over parts of what is

known as the “El-Norte”, the northern camino.

There are many camino ways to Santiago de

Compostela. This one has you trekking into

sleep fishing villages that are tucked into the

side of stunning cliffs where you will get to

taste exquisite seafood and its famous cider

along with many other delicacies. We then

join up with the French Way to Santiago from

Sarria for the last seven nights of the walk.

Bhutan: An Ancient Buddhist Spiritual Path

The Old City of Thebes, Karnak and Luxor are

still the hearts of one of the largest mystery

schools on earth, where ancient wisdom and

spend retracing the footsteps of the Pharaohs,

high priest and priestesses of Egypt from

Sakkara where the first pyramid was built to

Luxor known as the worlds greatest open air

EGYPT IS THE GIFT OF THE NILE...

From your very first glimpse of the Pyramids

on the Giza Plateau Egypt will cast its magical

spell upon you. Feeling like you have stepped

back in time Walid our guide gives everyone

in the group the name of one of the famous

Egyptian gods or goddesses so as when you

are at a site you will learn and absorb more

easily. We will visit Cairo, its famous bazaar

Tshering Dorji - Bhutan

Tshering has been leading trips for more than

23 years and is intimately familiar with every

corner of Bhutan. A native of Paro, Tshering

went to school in Punakha and completed

his education at Serubtse College in Eastern

Bhutan. He subsequently studied Tourism &

Hotel Management at the reputable Salzburg

institute in Austria. Tshering has lived and

worked in the United States, including a stint

at Big Sur’s famous Post Ranch Inn.

Extremely knowledgeable and alert to travellers

needs, Tshering ranks among the top guides

in the kingdom. He has guided for National

geographic, Harvard Museum groups,

Buddhist trips with Professor Dr Robert

Thurman and a selection of other well known

tour companies. We are in good hands!

Walid El Batouty - Egypt

is a passionate and very wise voice on all

things Egyptian. Based in Cairo, Walid has

been guiding since 1991 working with some

of the most prestigious travel companies and

dignitaries as well as being an active past

Vice President of the Egyptian General Tourist

Guides Association. He commands your

attention at all times. You find yourself falling

under his spell as he draws you into one of

his stories about a certain temple or era in

Egyptian history. A brilliant story teller.

One of his favourite places to guide is Abydos.

“The stones talk to you” he says, “and there is

love in the poems on the walls.” When he is

not guiding you will find him travelling the world

lecturing on Egypt and its ancient history. He is

a true ambassador for his country.

Ricardo Guggenheimer - Spain

Is our experienced multi-lingual

guide during the walking tour

of Spain. Describing himself

as an “eternal traveller”, Ricardo

was born in the US but moved

to Spain as a child, and later

to England. He spent ten years

travelliing and working around

Europe experiencing “the

university of life”. With a

background in the Humanities

(from the University of Toledo,

Spain) he has also studied

medicine and massage.

Ricardo’s people skills and sense

of adventure, coupled with his

knowledge of Spain and its

culture, makes him an invaluable
