Greetings Esplanade Residents,
March is such a beautiful time of year in Florida, and ever blooming here in Esplanade. This month we have some great events designed to bring the community together and grow new friendships.
One holiday we certainty are looking forward to this month is St. Patrick’s Day. This year we will be hosting a Beer Olympics on our Amenity Center Lawn. Grab a teammate and sign up to play some traditional Beer Olympic games. Team spirit is a must! Don’t worry if beer is not your beverage of choice, we welcome all beverages, and a friendly sporting attitude.
This month we will be kicking off our much anticipated Signature Event Series for 2020. Join us under Esplanade’s Big Top for a special night at the Circus. It’s sure to be an evening full of wonder and fascination.
Last but not least, we know the whole community is looking forward to attending the Tampa Bay Rays Home Opening Game this month! Always a favorite event! Allow us to provide transportation to and from the game. All you need is your Rays gear and a winning spirit.
Finally, we would like to take a moment to welcome all of our new residents, and encourage you to come meet your amazing new neighbors! Stop by the Amenity Center and introduce yourself to our Lifestyle Team. Let’s discuss upcoming events, activities, trips, and fitness classes. We love meeting new faces and providing you with all the information you need to know while living here in Esplanade!
Let’s march right into the spring season here in Esplanade!

Q. Are you originally from Florida?
A. No, I am a new resident! I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, UT.
Q. Where are your parents from?
A. My mother was born in Paraguay and raised all throughout South
America, and my dad was born in a small, Southeastern Idaho town.
Q. Have you ever had a nickname?
A. I’ve had a lot, but my parents called me “Moki” growing up, after the
indian tribe in Southern Utah.
Q. What do you like to do in your spare time? (i.e. hobbies,
volunteer activities, etc.)
A. I LOVE music. I love discovering new music from Broadway, and
playing the guitar and piano. I also love coming up with new recipes and
yummy things to feed my friends and husband!
Q. What makes you laugh the most?
A. My husband hands-down! He is such a goof, and he is constantly
making me laugh, especially with our text conversations through the new
emoji’s. He is a very creative guy.
Q. Beach vacation or European vacation?
A. European. I love going from place to place and seeing so much
history. Even though I LOVE going to the beach, Europe is so unique
and has so much charm to discover!
Q. If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?
A. Anywhere where I haven’t been! I love visiting new places and
cultures.
Q. What is your favorite holiday?
A. Christmas for sure. I love all of the wonderful smells of the cookies
and pine trees, and especially all of the romantic movies on television!
Q. Tell us about your favorite summer vacation.
A. My husband and I got married last summer, and right after our
wedding we took a road trip across the country. We stopped in Rapid
City, South Dakota and rented a motorcycle to go see Mount Rushmore!
Then we headed over to Nashville to see some up and coming new
bands and ate some amazing barbeque pork!
Q. What do you look forward to in your future with Esplanade?
A. I am so excited for you to finally move in! We have been preparing for
your stay and have so many fun things planned. It will be great to get to
know you individually so we can gear some of our activities toward your
interests.
Q. What do you love about the Tampa Bay area?
A. The area is so diverse, and anything you want to do—you can find a
way to do it! From the sunset tours on the Gulf to the shows at the Straz
Center, all of it is so fun. If for some reason you can’t find something you
would like to do, give me a call or write me an e-mail and we can get
something started.
Q. Would you rather be twice as smart or twice as happy?
A. Twice as happy! There’s not enough time in the day to not be happy!
