What Can We Do To Help Our Black Babies Live? We must come together as an entire “Village” and find ways to help educate, strengthen and empower our families so that they will have good parenting, decision making and social skills. Putting Words into Action: 1st Lady/Minister/President / Director of Christian Education: Mrs. Angela Carol Carter On February 9, 2018, during the Annual Healthy Start Coalition of Flagler & Volusia Counties, Inc., Meeting, I will be both blessed and honored to bestow our Annual Healthy Start LifeSong Award to Mrs. Angela Carter who is the 1st Lady and one of the Ministers at Bethel Baptist Church, New Smyrna Beach, FL., in addition to serving as the President of the Volusia County & Vicinity Ministers Wives and Ministers Widows (VCVMWMW) and Director of Christian Education for Bethel Christian Academy and Preschool. One of my goals as the Healthy Start LifeSong Community Liaison is to engage Faith Based Groups/Organizations to create and implement ministries that help our families to become SAFER, STRONGER, HEALTHIER and HAPPIER. I am currently working closely with 1st Lady Carter on (2) LifeSong Ministries; A Quilting Ministry (Tummy Time Only) at Bethel Baptist Church and Adopting /Supporting a Family with small children who benefit monthly by our financial and spiritual gifts sponsored by the VCVMWMW Organization. These ministries have been a blessing to all who serve in them, have been touched by them and Thanked God for them. “Thank You” 1st Lady Carter for your leadership, commitment and dedication to these noteworthy LifeSong Ministries. How Can I Learn More About LifeSong and Keeping Our Mom’s and Babies Healthy & Safe LifeSong is a community initiative funded by The Healthy Start Coalition of Flagler & Volusia Counties which provides free training on how to Keep Our Mom’s and Babies Healthy & Safe and Tips/Techniques on how to improve / enhance Our Parenting Skills. Together, we can create a MOVEMENT that will help inspire, empower, and educate our African American Families because that is what God has ordained for these His People. Contact: Maria A.
