St. Aidan’s presents: Drop In Summer Choir Practices are on Sundays at 9 am starting June 16. The choir will sing at the service. Bring the kids and have fun singing together. The community, St. Aidan's and Cadboro Bay United were a mighty team to process approximately three tons of books. The sale was a success with fun and fellowship. Of course we really appreciated all the buyers from near and far as well. Thank you so much. Bonnie and June Thanks to June Coutts and Bonnie Davoren for organizing this very successful event. As the rain poured down the people poured into the lower hall. The community supported us yet again and we were able to raise $2100.00 from book sales and $85.00 from jewellery sales (thanks to Gail Murdoch). Camp Pringle: Family fun for Everyone! Come for a day or the whole weekend! June 21-23

The Friendly Octopus Next Wed., June 5 there will be CD’s Stem ware, kitchen plastics, sports equipment, pants, capris and shorts.

Summer Students

St. Aidan’s received a Canada government grant to hire 4 students for 8 weeks of summer employment in July and August. One position is for a Summer Coordinator and the other three are for program staff. The jobs will include but not be limited to planning and running 2 week long Children’s Day camps, a Seniors program and week long camp, and a downtown community outreach program as well as Sunday programming and planning. Applicants between the ages of 18 and 30 are welcome to apply and send in a resume to [email protected] before noon on Wednesday, June 5. Please spread the word.

Jars Needed: It is that time of year again when we start making jams, jelly, relishes, antipasto, etc etc so we need your jars Please help out the hard working jam makers by donating half cup and one cup jars. They must be the kind that has a screw top lid. Sugar, fruit, berries, etc etc also appreciated. This stall is very popular at the bazaar so let’s help Marion Newson and her team have a great display in the Fall.
