Dr. Ashamoorthy is one among the senior consultants in cardiology at the Cardic Care Centre, Sri Ramachandra University. Her deep interest in invasive and non invasive cardiology namely cardiac ultrasound is well known. Her areas of expertise include Trans-Thoracic, Trans- Esophagial, Fetal and Intra-Operative Echocardiograms. She is also involved in applied Echocardiography especially in the field of dobutamine stress studies and in peripheral vascular studies. She is a member of many National & International organizations and has more than “30 years of teaching experience in cardiology”. She has served with distinction as member of several professional and academic bodies in universities. She has to credit papers in several journals and always an active participant in organization and conduction of C.M.E. Programme all over India. Endowed with a background of a brilliant student , outstanding teacher, active research worker and highly competent administrator.
