THOSE WHO HAVE NO FOOD STORED AT LEAST KNOW THEY HAVE NOTHING.
But what about those who are misinformed about their food storage?
![Page 3: Life-Threatening Preparedness Ripoffs](https://reader033.fdocuments.net/reader033/viewer/2022061202/547c9567b4795998508b46ec/html5/thumbnails/3.jpg)
You see, what you don’t know CAN hurt you.
Let’s look at some of the food storage areas in which you need to be careful.

Threat #1: “Calories”If your storage plan counts a meal by number of calories, you may have a problem. A chicken and rice casserole dinner might have the same amount of calories as a sugar-based breakfast drink, but should they really both be considered a “meal?”

Threat #2: “Servings”The traditional food industry standard for a “serving” is one cup, but most food storage suppliers are using considerably less than that. Many call 1/2 cup of food a meal. Even more worrisome is that some of those 1/2 cups are sugar drinks. (Meals?)

Threat #3: Number of People FedFood packages are made based on the number of people they are intended to feed. However, 4 people (2 adults & 2 children) is different than 4 adults. So if you try to feed a 5 member family from a supplier that measures 3/4 of a cup for adults and 1/2 cup of food for children, you will be feeding 2 adults and 3 children a meal consisting of 3 cups of food!

Threat #4: Days of FoodWith the calorie “flim” and the serving size “flam” mixed with the number and combination of “people” and how much they eat, we have a formula of uncertainty which spells potential disaster with the strong warning to be careful. How do you know how much food is enough?
