Our God, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Church News

Following the governor’s guidelines, we will be doing online worship through, at least, the summer. The physical church office is closed but you may communicate with us electronically. Please contact the staff through the emails listed above.

Inquiring Minds book group has two books on its agenda. The first is The Dutch House by Ann Patchett. This novel, set near Philadelphia, is the story of a brother and sister over five decades of their lives and how a house is instrumental in many of their experiences. We will discuss this book at 10 am on August 10 on Zoom. Our second book is Union, The struggle to forge the story of United States Nationhood by Portland author Colin Woodard. The discussion of this book will be on Monday, September 14, also on Zoom at 10 am. For info on joining the Zoom group email [email protected].

New Council Email Address and Monthly Updates New Council Chair Laura Lee will be monitoring a new email address for Church Council. If you have any questions or concerns or suggestions, please send them to Laura at [email protected]. She will be checking email weekly. During the summer months when our newsletter Pilgrims' Progress is taking a break, Laura will provide Council updates in the weekly email following Council meetings, which take place on the third Tuesday of each month.

Financial Giving Your giving helps us to meet the church's financial obligations and contribute to the wider community. We appreciate your checks mailed to the office, and your e-giving is especially helpful as it reaches us without staff trips to the church office or the bank. To set up your own e-giving, visit www.firstparish.net and click the e-giving link on the right. Use the drop-down menu to select the fund and then create a one-time or recurring gift using your bank account or credit card. Not sure where to start with e-giving, or encountering problems? Please write to [email protected] and Becky Wilkoff will gladly walk you through it over the phone or set up/adjust your e-giving for you. Thank you for your support!

Prayer Requests: If you would like to request prayers for yourself or another, please email them to [email protected]. All private prayer requests are kept strictly confidential.
