“Life Explained” Version 1.0
Dum Vita Est Spes Est
(While There’s Life , There’s Hope)
As there are 7 important stats in place we should all know them by heart.
1) Defense
2) Attack
3) Range
4) Life
5) Combatspeed
6) Accuracy
7) Spellpower
None of those stats alone can make someone invincible but combining them
increase your chances.
In this tutorial we are going to explain why LIFE is such an important stat and we
do NOT always use it. And we should use it either in Buff or Debuff.
Defense and Life are important due to the calculation that KoC uses to determine
kills. The calculation is:
(life_of_attacked) / (attack_of_attacker – defense_of_attacked)
In order to understand it better, we need to look at the troops and their stats. (You
can easily see these stats in your barack.)
Let’s look at the Life per Troop type, as you know we have the following troop
types.
Infantry: Supply Troops, Militiamen, Scouts, Pikemen, Swordsmen, Bloodthorn,
Executioner , Halbedier, Saboteur,
Horsed: Cavalry, Heavy Cavalry, Hussar
Ranged: Archers , Flame Archers
Siege: Wagons, Ballista, Battering Rams, Catapults, Siege Wall , Onagers
Spellcasters: Shield Sorcerer, Toxic Conjurer, Soul Stealer, Plague Doctor ,Swamp
Witches ( Coming soon),Rot Familiars ( Coming soon)
Infantry Scout Pikemen Swordsmen
Bloodthorn Executioner Halbedier
Sabouter
Horsed Cavalry Heavy Cavalry Hussar
Siege Ballista Battering Ram Catapult
Siege Wall Onager
As you notice , the Life stats are higher than the Defense stats. In other games,
video or RPG games, they refer to LIFE as “Hit Points” , meaning, the total
amount of damage your troop can withstand before it is considered dead.
Life has a Cap.
Life 250% -50%
This is rather a low cap, but you have seen that the stats are high
on the different troops shown above. In comparison, the Defense
stats are lower then the Life stats, but the Cap is Higher for
Defense ( 5k).
So troops with High Life stats, like Rams, Siegewalls, Bloodthorns,
Executioners, Halbediers but also Horsed troops are effective
“blockers” as they can sustain a lot of Damage by protecting the
weaker troop types , like Range troops. ( Siege + archers + flame
archers)
“The reason you want to avoid your range troops getting in range of the enemy is that they tend
to have low Life and Defense stats. This means they die fast once in direct contact.”
“Troops with high Defense and Life Stats are more effective blockers and the higher the
numbers, the more likely they are to hold off the attackers”
So…… add LIFE in buff and Debuff in Your Presets. Also Life in a Champion is an
option.
Cards With Life stats
You can enhance your cards as well by changing out the 6th line
bright jewel for Life Jewels in buff and Debuff. You probably have
quite a few in inventory.
Add LIFE in buff & debuff whenever you can.
Check your Reports if Opponent has high Life in TR presets, you
may need to debuff.
Trade some stats for life, sometimes its possible to change the 6th
line jewel to Life, to get some more Life in your preset.
Don’t go overboard on LIFE stats. But don’t ignore it either. See
what is used on the battlefield.
Use Life in buff & debuff on ATTACK & DEFENSE.
Add Life in Buff & Debuff in your Champion when possible.
For attacker:
Life = Base*Fey Altar*[1 + Research + TR] For defender:
Life = Base*Wood Guardian*Fey Altar*[1 + Research + TR]
Always look on the bright side of LIFE
: Sharing is knowledge, and a lot of players are not sharing. Yes it
gives you and edge, or advantage, but it leaves also many people clueless. The
objective of these tutorials, is to teach, learn, educate players so ALL players have
a better under understanding of the game. The more players participate, the
better the overall experience is for all players. More attacking and defending
means “lively” domains full of activity.
