Description Lieutenant Colonel Andrew S. Rendon Lieutenant Colonel Andrew S. Rendon received his commission as a 2LT in the United States Army from Mississippi State University’s Army ROTC Bulldog Battalion. He completed the Aviation Officer Basic Course and then reported to Germany where he was assigned as a platoon leader and eventually the Battalion logistics officer under the 4th Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division. His tour in Germany culminated in a deployment to Kosovo where he served as the Task Force Aviation logistics officer in support of KFOR operations. Upon completion of a successful overseas tour, LTC Rendon returned to the United States and completed the Aviation Captain’s Career Course and accepted an assignment at the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence located at Fort Rucker, Alabama. LTC Rendon successfully completed two back to back company command assignments while stationed at Fort Rucker. While at Fort Rucker, he also attended the UH-60 Blackhawk Maintenance Test Pilot and Instructor Pilot Course. In 2004, LTC Rendon separated from the Active Component and returned to his hometown of Starkville, Mississippi. Joining the ranks of the Mississippi National Guard, LTC Rendon has served in various leadership positions throughout the MSNG Aviation community.

Lieutenant Colonel Andrew S. Rendon

Lieutenant Colonel Andrew S. Rendon received his commission as a 2LT

in the United States Army from Mississippi State University’s Army ROTC

Bulldog Battalion. He completed the Aviation Officer Basic Course and

then reported to Germany where he was assigned as a platoon leader and

eventually the Battalion logistics officer under the 4th Aviation Brigade, 1st

Infantry Division. His tour in Germany culminated in a deployment to Kosovo

where he served as the Task Force Aviation logistics officer in support of

Upon completion of a successful overseas tour, LTC Rendon returned to the

United States and completed the Aviation Captain’s Career Course and

Rendon has served as the Battalion Commander and Executive Officer for

the 1-185th Aviation Battalion, Company Commander for the LUH 72 unit

responsible for supporting several Mississippi disaster response operations

including Katrina, Smithville Tornado, BP Oil Spill and the MS River Flood and

Commander of A Company, 1108th TASMG. In 2011, LTC Rendon deployed

with the 1108th TASMG to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring

Freedom and upon returning, served as the 155 Armored Brigade Combat

Team Aviation Officer. LTC Rendon recently returned from an overseas tour as

the U.S. Aviation Task Force Commander in Kosovo. LTC Rendon works at

Mississippi State University in the Division of Student Affairs as the Director

of Planning and Assessment and was responsible for the development and

implementation of the nationally recognized G.V. “Sonny” Montgomery Center

for America’s Veterans.

LTC Rendon’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal,

the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal with 4 Oak

Leaf Cluster, the Army Commendation Medal, the National Defense Service

medal, the Kosovo Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service

Medal and the NATO Kosovo medal. Married to Hilary Harder Rendon of

Starkville, Mississippi, Andrew and Hilary are the proud parents of USN Petty

Officer Third Class Andrew Kyler Rendon and Carlisle High School Senior,

Sarah Rendon. LTC Rendon currently resides in Carlisle, Pennsylvania where

he is attending the resident Army War College.

Lieutenant Colonel Trina Rice

Description

Lieutenant Colonel Trina Rice is a native of New York City, New York. She earned

her undergraduate degree at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA where she also

earned her commission as a Second Lieutenant through their esteemed Corps of

Cadets program. Lieutenant Colonel Rice began her career in 1997 in the Air

Defense Artillery. In 2001 as a participant in the Branch Detail Program she

automatically transferred into the Adjutant General’s Corps. Over the course of

nearly 22 years she has served in Korea, Fort Bliss, TX, Atlanta, GA, Fort Riley,

Kansas, and two tours both in Hawaii and at the Pentagon. She is currently

assigned at the United States Army War College in Carlisle, PA, pursuing a

Master’s Degree in Strategic Studies.

As a junior officer, Lieutenant Colonel Rice served as a Tactical Control Officer,

Maintenance Platoon Leader, and Executive Officer in 1-43 Air Defense Artillery

(PATRIOT) Battalion in Suwon, Korea. Upon completion of the assignment she

was reassigned to 5-52 Air Defense Artillery (PATRIOT) Battalion in Fort Bliss,

TX where she served as a Launcher PlatoonLeader then on the staff as the

Battalion’s Human Resources Officer (S1). In this position, she deployed with

the unit to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in support of Operation SOUTHERN WATCH.

2001-2003, Lieutenant Colonel Rice served her first tour in Hawaii where she

was a commander and then battalion operations officer (S3) for the 556th

Personnel Services Battalion.Following this assignment, she would spend the

next four years in Atlanta, Georgia. First as a recruiting company commander for

the Atlanta Recruiting Company followed by Human Resources assignments on

an operational and strategic level staffs.

In 2007, she would return to Schofield Barracks, HI, to serve as the Senior

Human Resources Officer (S1) for 2d Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th

Infantry Division. For 15 months she deployed in this role to Taji, Iraq, in support

of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. Upon return, she became the Deputy Senior

Human Resources Officer (D/G1) for 25th Infantry Division. Upon completion of

the Command and General Staff in 2011, Lieutenant Colonel Rice began her first

tour at the Pentagon working on the Headquarters Department of the Army

Personnel Staff (HQDA G1). During this tour she would serve as the Army’s lead

for developing the Department of Defense’s policy to allow women to serve in all

combat roles. Her work led to women attending Ranger School and their current

ability to serve in the Infantry and Armor Corps. In 2013, Lieutenant Colonel Rice

was reassigned to the Joint Staff of the United States Northern Command &

North American Aerospace Defense Command (USNORTHCOM/NORAD) in

Colorado Springs, Colorado. There she served in the Joint Personnel Directorate

(J1) standing up the first Training and Development Branch. She designed,

developed, trained, and secured training opportunities for the most junior ranks

to the four star staff level.

In 2015, upon completion her tour in Colorado, she was reassigned to 1st

Infantry Division in Fort Riley, Kansas. While at Fort Riley, she served as the

Senior Human Resources Officer for the division and all of Fort Riley (G1).

During this tour she also deployed for seven months to Baghdad, Iraq, where she

served on the Combined Joint Forces Land Component Command Staff

(CJFLCC- CJ1), comprised of military and civilian personnel from over 20

countries, in support of Operation INHERENT RESOLVE as the Senior Human

Resources Officer for Iraq and Syria. Shortly uponreturn, Lieutenant Colonel Rice

began her second Pentagon tour on the HQDA G1 staff. This time she

would develop policy impacting enlisted Soldiers’ promotions and separations.

Currently, Lieutenant Colonel Rice holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resources

Management and professional Human Resources certifications.

She is also a certified Project Management Professional.

Colonel Mike Baim

Description

Colonel Mike Baim has over twenty years of active duty experience in the U.S.

Army. As an Engineer Officer, he has commanded an engineer company, an

engineer battalion, and selected to command an engineer brigade beginning

in 2019. Colonel Baim has served outside the United States in Nicaragua,

Germany, Iraq and Afghanistan and has conducted a wide range of missions

from humanitarian relief operations to major combat operations. Colonel Baim

graduated from the University of Colorado-Boulder in 1997 with a degree in

civil engineering. He holds a Master of Arts in Public Administration, a Master

of Business Administration, a Master of Military Art and Science and is currently

completing a Master of Strategic Studies. Colonel Baim also served as an Army

Research Fellow at the RAND Corporation in Santa Monica, CA.

Colonel Baim’s unique experiences include humanitarian relief in Nicaragua;

service as a plans and operations officer during the preparation and invasion

of Iraq in 2003 with the 1st Armored Division; a plans officer in U.S. Army

Europe managing a portfolio of plans for countering transnational threats; an

operations officer in Afghanistan responsible for coordinating the clearance of

major roads, construction of combat outposts and forward operating bases, and

training Afghan engineer forces; a program strategist in the Pentagon with the

Department of the Army G-8 Program Analysis and Evaluation Division; and most

recently as a branch manager at the U.S. Army Human Resources Command

responsible for the assignments of over4,000 active duty engineer officers.

Colonel Baim’s military awards and decorations include the Bronze Star

Medal (three awards) for both service and achievement in Iraq and

Afghanistan, the Purple Heart for wounds received in action in Baghdad,

Iraq, the Meritorious Service Medal (five awards), the Combat Action Badge,

the Parachutist Badge, the Air Assault Badge, the Sapper Tab and the

Presidential Unit Citation.

Colonel Mike Baim is married to Rebekah Godlin Baim of Woodlake, CA,

who is also a graduate of the University of Colorado-Boulder, with a degree

in economics. They have two children - Abigail, who is a student at the

University of California-San Diego studying International Studies, and Sarah,

who is a sophomore in high school and plans to study engineering/physics/

mathematics in college. The family enjoys both international trvel and

spending time on family orchards in California.

Lieutenant Colonel Danny Stupinski

Description

Lieutenant Colonel Danny Stupinski is an Air Force Acquisitions

Officer and specializes in Contracting. In this role, he is responsible

for acquisition strategy development and execution, as well as contract

competition, negotiation, and management for critical Department of

Defense programs. Colonel Stupinski’s Acquisitions assignments have

taken him to the Electronics System Center (Boston), the Air Force

Rapid Capabilities Office (Washington), and twice to the Space and

Missile Systems Center (Los Angeles). In his most recent assignment

at Los Angeles Air Force Base, he directed the execution of a $30.2

billion military satellite contract portfolio.

In addition to Acquisitions, Lieutenant Colonel Stupinski also served

as a Planning and Programming Officer at Headquarters, Pacific Air

Forces, in Hawaii. In that role, he was responsible for planning the Air

Force’s future force requirements in the Pacific theater. Following eight

years on active duty, Colonel Stupinski transitioned to the Hawaii Air

National Guard in 2008 and served as a Traditional Guardsman before

returning to active service in 2010. He is a two-time graduated

Squadron Commander, has deployed three times, and is a member of

the Defense Acquisition Corps.

Lieutenant Colonel Stupinski hails from Bayonne, New Jersey, and

received his commission in 2000 through the Air Force Reserve

Officer Training Corps. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political

Science from West Virginia University and a Master of Military Arts and

Sciences degree from Air Command and Staff College. Colonel

Stupinski is currently a student at the United States Army War College

in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, where he resides with his wife Karen and dog

Dagny.
