Situated in the district of Diepholz the BBS is a centre for vocational studies and it has 3000

students. The Minister of Education from Lower Saxony awarded the school the title

“EUROPASCHULE” in 2007. This title was renewed after a re-evaluation process in 2014.

Situato nel distretto di Diepholz, BBS è un centro di formazione professionale con circa

3.000 studenti. Il Ministero della Pubblica Istruzione della Bassa Sassonia ha assegnato

alla scuola il titolo "EUROPASCHULE" nel 2007. Questo titolo è stato rinnovato dopo un

processo di rivalutazione nel 2014.

With Leonardo VETPRO projects the BBS Syke initiated several multinational networks in

various professions with partners in 17 European countries.

With Leonardo da Vinci IVT mobility projects the school sent teachers and educators abroad

and continues doing that in the new ERASMUS+ project generation and has been granted the

Mobility Charta in 2015.

Con progetti Leonardo VETPRO, BBS Syke ha lanciato diverse reti multinazionali in varie

professioni con partner in 17 paesi europei.

Grazie ai progetti Leonardo da Vinci IVT e Erasmus + KA1 la scuola invia studenti

all'estero e continua far ciò con i nuovi progetti di generazione Erasmus+ e, per questo, ha

ricevuto la Mobility Charta nel 2015

• As a result of the scoring process BBS Syke came out being currently the best vocational

“Europaschule” in the whole of Lower Saxony based on its unique internationalisation

strategy which represents a best practice example for the guidelines for internationalisation

strategies for vocational training.

• La BBS Syke è attualmente la migliore "Europaschule" in Bassa Sassonia per la sua

strategia unica di internazionalizzazione, che è un esempio di buone pratiche. La scuola ha

acquisito esperienza nel campo dei progetti transnazionali e multinazionali per le scuole

professionali.

INTRODUCTION THE GERMAN SCHOOL SYSTEM

The German school system is different from land to land, since the German educational system is established by the federal states (Länder) Il percorso formativo presenta diverse sfumature da uno stato all'altro, dal momento che il sistema educativo e scolastico tedesco viene stabilito dagli stati federali (Länder).

The Kindergarten is optional for all the children aged three to six. Il Kindergarten è facoltativo per tutti i bambini dai tre ai sei

The Grundschule is the primary school for six to ten years old pupils. At the age of nine, the student chooses the path of his future, something that happens in Italy at the age of fourteen. If he chooses a school different from the one that has been recommended he has to take an admission test. La Grundschule (scuola primaria) da sei a dieci anni. Lo studente sceglierà già all’età di nove anni il percorso del suo futuro, cosa che in Italia accade a quattordici anni. In caso venga scelta dalla famiglia una scuola di ordine superiore rispetto a quanto consigliato, l’alunno dovrà sostenere un test d’ammissione nella nuova scuola.

The secondary schools are the

Hauptschule, the Realschule and

the Gymnasium. The first two

years are more or less the same

since they are a sort orientation in

order to help students find the

right path.

Le scuole secondarie di primo

grado sono la Hauptschule, la

Realschule e il Gymnasium. I

primi due anni di ciascuna di

queste scuole rappresentano un

biennio di orientamento in cui le

differenze tra i tre tipi di scuole

sono ancora ridotte e che serve

per aiutare gli studenti a trovare

la strada giusta.

The Gymnasium accepts only the best students. It

represents the highest form of education and lasts

five years(from the seventh grade to the tenth). In

the upper classes of the Gymnasium (from the 11th

to the 13th class, that is from 16 to 18 years) the

traditional organization of the school is abandoned

in favour of a system of courses, which allows the

student to choose, within certain limits, some

subjects.

Gymnasium accetta solo gli studenti migliori.

Rappresenta la forma di istruzione più elevata e

dura cinque anni. (dalla settima classe alla

decima, cioè circa dai 12 ai 16 anni) Nelle classi

superiori del Gymnasium (dalla 11 alla 13 classe,

cioè dai 16 ai 18 anni) si abbandona la

tradizionale organizzazione del percorso scolastico

in classi a favore di un sistema di corsi, che

permette allo studente di scegliere alcune materie.

At the end of the Gymnasium they have to take the Abitur (our matriculation

exam) must be supported to obtain the permit to enter the university. There is no

work based learning. The studies are aimed at accessing the academic world.

Al termine del Gymnasium si deve sostenere l'Abitur (il nostro esame di maturità)

per conseguire il permesso di accedere all’università. Non è prevista l’alternanza

scuola lavoro. Gli studi sono finalizzati all’accesso al mondo accademico.

In the Hauptschule the student has a work based experience. Training can take different paths,

depending on the profession one wants to carry out. The first option is to attend the

Berufsfachschule. It lasts one year (full time at school) and gives a basic education valid across

the board. The second option is to attend the Berufsschule (dual system) The courses can last two

or three years, depending on the profession chosen.

Nella Hauptschule lo studente si avvicina al mondo del lavoro. La formazione può prendere

strade diverse, a secondo della professione che vuole svolgere. La prima opzione è frequentare la

Berufsfachschule. Dura un anno (tempo pieno a scuola) e dà una formazione di base valida in

modo trasversale. La seconda opzione è frequentare la Berufsschule (sistema duale)I corsi

possono avere una durata biennale o triennale, a seconda della professione scelta.

This year we organised a school exchange with the BBS. Our students went to Syke in

December and the German students will come in May. Two groups of students were

involved: Class 11 (Italian class) of Syke Gymnasium and our IVA liceo linguistico. The

German class is the first of an experimental course started last year. The students have to

study politics, economics and they must experience stages, exchanges and experiences

Quest’anno abbiamo organizzato uno scambio con la BBS. Due gruppi di studenti sono stati

coinvolti: la Class 11 (terza Italiana) del Gymnasium e la ostra IVA liceo linguistico . La

classe tedesca è la prima di un corso sperimentale iniziato lo scorso anno. Si tratta di un

progetto europeo he prevede lezioni di politica, economia - stage, scambi e soggiorni

all’estero.

The Realschule is similar to our

technical schools and can last from four

to six years with an open and flexible

structure. Graduates with commendable

grades from this address can pass to the

Gymnasium (last classes). After the

Realschule you have access to the dual

path, or attend the Berufsfachschule (1

or 2 years), or enter the Fachoberchule

(2 years) or enter the Gymnasium.

La Realschule è simile invece ai nostri

istituti tecnici. E può durare dai quattro

ai sei anni con una struttura aperta e

flessibile. I diplomati di questo indirizzo

con voti lodevoli possono passare al

Gymnasium (ultime classi). Dopo la

Realschule si può accedere al percorso

duale, oppure frequentare la

Berufsfachschule (1 o 2 anni), oppure

accedere alla Fachoberchule (2 anni) o

accedere al Gymnasium

The Hauptschule is similar to our vocational

courses and lasts five years (or six depending

on the Länder). Its function is to train the

student in the general areas with a basic

education. It includes various specializations

depending on the professional sector you intend

to undertake. At the end of the ninth class, you

get the Hauptschulabschluss (or Hauptschule

license)

L'Hauptschule ricorda i nostri indirizzi

professionali. Dura cinque anni (o sei a

seconda sempre dei vari Länder). Ha la

funzione di formare lo studente negli ambiti

generali con un’istruzione di base. Comprende

vari indirizzi a seconda del settore

professionale che si intende intraprendere. Al

termine della nona classe si ottiene lo

Hauptschulabschluss (ovvero la licenza della

Hauptschule).

After the Hauptschule the student has a work based

experience. Training can take different paths,

depending on the profession one wants to carry out.

recognized by a company as a compulsory first year

internship.

Dopo la Hauptschule lo studente si avvicina al

mondo del lavoro. La formazione può prendere

percorsi diversi, a secondo della professione che si

vuole svolgere. La prima opzione è frequentare la

Berufsfachschule. Dura un anno (tempo pieno a

scuola) e dà una formazione di base valida in modo

trasversale. L’anno può essere riconosciuto da

un’azienda come primo anno di stage obbligatorio.

La seconda opzione è frequentare la Berufsschule

(sistema duale)

DUAL SYSTEM

The second option is to attend the Berufsschule (dual system) The courses

can last two or three years, depending on the profession chosen. The first

year offers a part of practical training in the workplace, which includes 4

days a week for the whole year and 8 hours of lessons per week. (elastic

La seconda opzione è frequentare la Berufsschule (sistema duale) I corsi

possono avere una durata biennale o triennale, a seconda della professione

scelta. Il primo anno offre una parte di formazione pratica sul luogo di

lavoro, che prevede 4 giorni la settimana per l’intero anno e 8 ore di lezione

settimanali. (organizzazione elastica)

During the practical training the student maintains

the status of student, however during the period of

his apprenticeship he also acquires the status of

'trainee' which is sanctioned by a practical training

contract, (paid) agreed between him and the

company in which the training takes place. It is

the student's responsibility to apply and get an

internship in the company (internship)

Nel corso della formazione pratica lo studente

mantiene lo status di studente, tuttavia acquisisce

nel periodo del suo praticantato anche lo status di

‘tirocinante’ che viene sancito da un contratto di

formazione pratica, (retribuito) concordato tra lo

stesso e l’azienda nella quale si svolge la

formazione. È cura dello studente candidarsi e

ottenere lo stage in azienda (tirocinio).

The skills and knowledge that must be acquired during the training are defined in a list of requirements related to the individual profession. The dual system includes an intermediate examination at the end of the second year and a final examination at the end of the studies.

The intermediate exam allows to evaluate both theoretical and practical knowledge. The evaluation focuses on written tests and on the work done in the company.

Il sistema duale prevede un esame intermedio alla fine del secondo anno e un esame finale al termine degli studi. L'esame intermedio permette di valutare conoscenze teoriche e pratiche. In questa sede la valutazione verte su prove scritte e sul lavoro svolto in azienda (in quest'ultimo caso, ad esempio, puo essere preso in esame cio che e stato realizzato durante l'attivita lavorativa).

L'esame finale e composto da una prova pratica e da una prova teorica scritta. Entrambi i tipi di prova sono articolati in modo che gli studenti possano dimostrare di saper applicare le conoscenze acquisite a situazioni concrete.

At the BBS there is an annual course of study

(Berufseinstiegsschule) in order to help

disadvantaged young people find their way in the

labor market or a training opportunity. It is

dedicated above all to young people with learning

difficulties, family, psychological, related to

social integration and of other nature. They are

boys who have not obtained any diploma and who

cannot attend a professional training course.

Presso la BBS è previsto un percorso di studi

annuale (Berufseinstiegsschule) al fine di aiutare i

giovani svantaggiati a trovare la loro strada nel

mercato del lavoro o un’opportunita di

formazione. È

dedicato soprattutto ai giovani con difficolta di

apprendimento, familiari, psicologiche, legate

all’inserimento sociale e di altra natura. Sono

ragazzi che non hanno conseguito alcun diploma e

che non possono frequentare un corso di

formazione professionale.
