LICENSE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF BOSTON and VERIZON WIRELESS TS LICENSE AGREEMENT ("AGREEMENT") DATED AS OF THIS { � DAY OF MARCH, 2016, IS ENTERED INTO BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION ("CITY"), AND CELLCO PARTNERSHIP d/b/a VERIZON WIRELESS, A DELAWARE GENERAL PARTNERSIDP ("VERIZON WIRELESS" or "LICENSEE") AND IS MADE WITH FERENCE TO THE FOLLOWING FACTS AND CIRCUMSTANCES: WHEREAS, the City has made significant investments of time and money in the acquisition and maintenance of the Public Rights-of-Way and other City-owned Property, and such investment has enhanced the utility and value of these assets; and WHEREAS, the City has a direct interest in encouraging e improvement of wireless communications inasucture in order to ensure that the City and its businesses, residents, and visitors have the best oppo1tunity to reliably access the highest quality wireless networks and make use of advanced wireless services and applications; and WHEREAS, reliable and robust wireless communications enhance the City's business climate and support its reputation as a center of technology, an attractive location r young adults, and a desirable place generally to live, work and visit; and WHEREAS, reliable wireless communications benefit the public by enhancing community saty and improving emergency response; and WHEREAS, the City owns and maintains wiin the Public Rights-of-Way and on other City-owned Property, light poles, traffic signals, street iture and other inastructure, some of which is potentially suitable r the attachment of antennas and other equipment and cabling used in the provision of wireless communications services; and WHEREAS, VERIZON WIRELESS desires to make use of certain City-owned poles and other City-owned infrastructure within the Public Rights-of-Way d on other City-owned Property r the puose of operating wireless communications cilities in order to provide Boston residents, businesses and visitors with a more robust and reliable wireless experience and access to advanced wireless services and applications; and 14566278.14
