LHCbPlanning des activités

• SU planning has to follow the LHCb planning• Main periods:

Feb to Apr 2013: All survey for opening + Beam pipe dismounting May 2013 to May 2014 main tasks:

Network upgrade LHCb C side Measurement of the full network and connection to HLS Connection Right to Left (tbc, opening of shielding not sure) Survey for magnet consolidation Coordination, installation, commissioning of a IT/VC BCAM monitoring

system

June 2014 to Closure of the cavern: New Beam Pipe supports installations and adjustments Installation of new Beam Pipes Survey for closure – All detectors

• Main Survey for COMPASS during LS1 (from COMPASS) Geodetic network: Reconstruction partly needed after shielding modification

OD Magnet: Cold mass survey and adjustment + Positioning of OD magnet in exp. area

DC4,W45...: Preparatory work in clean room + Re-installation into beam pos. after repair

CAMERA: Preparatory work for repair + Ring A position after assembly

DC5&DC6: Most probably will be needed after LS1 ...????

DY: Two parts of the absorber, fiducialisation for each + Positioning on the beam

ECAL0: Survey of the rails, movable platform, ECAL0 positioning on the beam etc.

As usual,1 month of survey just before start of the RUN 2014  will be needed

• In TOTAL: ~3 months in-field work for 2 surveyors = 6 man/monthsThe estimation is very rough and will  be clarified in the forthcoming months...

• In parallel the analysis and reports for above mentioned works

Conclusions

• LHC Experiments Main Survey identified and prepared but non-planned activities are probable

• Non-LHC Experiments NA62 – COMPASS - HIE-ISOLDE Survey: Work identified Others: Will be known at the last minute, work load estimated from last

years demands• Most critical period of co-activities

At the beginning of the LS1 During the last months of LS1 Closing of LHC Experiments + Non-LHC ones HIE-ISOLDE: Work distributed all along the LS1 period

• Safety ALARA rules to be applied in some cases + preparation for future

• Resources Large effort from BE and PH / Important help from LHC experiments

collaborations CMS 2nd person + PJAS PH To be finalized
